Saved My Vision!!
Dr. Jacobs and his team at the Surgery Center and the Prince George office saved my vision. I needed emergency surgery for a detached retina. I saw Dr. Khan on a Sunday and Dr. Jacobs called me on a Sunday afternoon to explain everything and ease my concerns. He and his staff educated me along every step of the journey. They answer the phone and call you back promptly if you leave a message. I’m still in my recovery phase but certainly can’t thank them and praise them enough!!!

DRY AMD
I see Dr Jacobs every six months for an eye exam. If I should have an eye emergency like my dry AMD progresses to Wet AMD he is available for urgent care and treatment. He completed surgery training at Balsam Palmer , the highest rated eye hospital in the US. I highly recommend this Retina Doctor for a person who has Dry AMD.

Doctor Jacob's and his nurses are THE BEST.
My mother had a retinal tear and detachment that left her requiring eye surgery. Dr.Jacobs and his entire staff are absolutely wonderful to her.. They have explained in detail every step she needs to take to be a great patient so she can gain her sight back in that eye.and are giving her the best follow up care in my opinion. The nurses are comforting and when my mom wasn't finding much to be happy about they seemed to be able to put a smile on her face during her appointments every single time. THANK YOU. Your expertise goes above and beyond.

I had a potentially blinding event occur in one of my eyes. Fortunately Dr Jacob's staff was able to schedule me promptly even though I was a new patient. The surgery was performed and the eyesight returned. Dr Jacobs is a very competent doctor and to supported by an equally competent staff. I highly recommend this office.

Retinal detachment- very grateful
Dr Jacobs is a quiet, kind, skillful doctor and his staff are as well They were able to get me in the same day at the Colonial Heights office and then surgery in Richmond, where I live, the next day. My questions all were answered and when I left the office knowing I needed surgery, I still felt more peaceful than when I walked in the building I am very grateful and thankful to them

Retina Specialist Extraordinaire
I went in for a routine eye exam a few months ago and found out I had a detached retina that needed urgent attention. Dr. Jacobs graciously accepted me as a new patient on a Friday and performed surgery on my eye the following Monday. He is a very attentive and caring doctor and made me feel comfortable through my two surgeries and many follow ups. He always made time to answer my many questions throughout the recovery process. I would 10/10 recommend Dr. Jacobs!

Excellent surgeon!
I would highly recommend Dr Jacobs. I had a giant floater in my eye. After almost hitting a car due to the floater creating a blind spot, I had a vitectomy to remove it and other floaters. I now have crystal clear vision-no floaters at all. Dr. Jacobs is the opthomologist you want!

I was diagnosed with a detached retina on a Sunday afternoon. Dr. Jacobs was kind enough to come into the office within 15 mins to talk to me about surgery. I was able to have surgery on the following day. His quick actions helped to make my recovery easier. I highly recommend him. Also, he was very good at answering all of my questions and helping me during my recovery. I also appreciated Kristin, who works with him. I was able to call her with questions and she was very helpful. They make a great time.

I have had problems with my eye - detached vitrieous - and getting no relief, and no answers to my questions. Dr. Jacobs looked once and told me what was happening and the best way to treat it. He explained the procedure and what I could expect, which was not overly optimistic. Today, after my one month follow-up, he told me my recovery was more than he had expected, and we both celebrated his success. He has also explained what I can expect in the future. He is professional, without being distant, did not make me feel irrelevant as some doctors have, and made me feel we were a team in this. I have already recommended him to friends.
