Very attentive, and provided clear information

Dr. Hochberg was seen due to elevated PSA. Over the next few months, he walked my husband and myself through tests, biopsy and surgery. He spent plenty of time with us answering questions and providing valuable information for us to make an informed decision. We highly recommend him!

Last year my wife had scheduled an appointment for yesterday. She called numerous times this week to confirm but no one answered the phone and did not return calls to confirm. We arrived yesterday and was told the doctor was not in the office. They said they were too busy receiving 60 calls to respond to my wife's message. They said they cancelled her appointment two weeks ago and left a message but her phone did not have any calls or messages from the office. A wasted day.

I have found that one member of his office staff was rude, but the rest are very nice and he is not "full of himself", he is a good doctor and, over 3 years, he has always done right by me.

If I could get past the rude office staff I could rate the doctor. I called my insurance and they contacted Dr. Hochberg's Office and verified over the phone that they would accept my insurance PHCS/Multiplan. I scheduled an appointment where I gave the person on the phone all of my insurance information. Everything seemed fine that they would accept my insurance. She set my appointment and when I arrived at the appointed time, the front office staff said they do not accept my insurance said just to see the doctor would be $288.00 and could be more if tests are run. Don't let them waste your time. They could have told my insurance company or they could have told me on the phone when I scheduled the appointment. There is no excuse for such incompetence. Unfortunately I took time off from work for no reason, wasted gas and time traveling. Shame on your office staff!

Very professional and I feel Very competent

Apparently, the review above from Monticello, FL was spot on. Dr Hochberg is VERY full of himself. He had no interest, empathy, or idea how to treat my issue. Very arrogant and conceited. I do not recommend him.

I suffered from urinary retention following surgery. He and his staff were very attentive and resolved the problem in a professional and timely manner. I have recommended him to several friends. Great bedside manners.

i have bladder cancer and Dr Hochberg said he would do everything to keep my bladder after 6 surgeries i still have my bladder he is working now on keeping a kidney. thing I do not like can not call office direct he has two but goes through a call center that then will gave message to either office. thats find but when you are returning a call from an office it is a pain in the butte. staff is wonderful

I was referred to Tampa Urology by the Emergency Department at St. Joe's North and scheduled with Dr. Hochberg. I had a very large kidney stone (my first) and was apprehensive about having it removed. Dr. Hochberg put me at ease and was very matter of fact about options and outcomes. His staff were professional, friendly and understanding. After each surgery his surgical staff called me to check in. I would recommend Dr. H to my family and friends.

Excellent in every area from diagnostic to final treatment. Wonderful office staff as well as assistants. To say I was apprehensive as well as nervous about cancer of the prostate and treatment options was to put it mildly. I was given every option, time to discuss with my family as well as primary care and encouraged to seek a second opinion. After studying all my options we decided to have the prostate removed by DaVinci robotic assistance surgery. I recommend Dr Hochberg without reservation.

Horrible bedside manner.... no empathy or care for patients.... very full of himself!!!!
