My worst decision was to have surgery with Dr. Gun
He did surgery on me and they left something inside, a piece of gauze. I don't know what it was, but it caused a big infection. Then he didn't fix my foot and I had the wound open for months and it almost gave me necroxia. I've had 5 surgeries in three years. I lost my job. I lost my job. apartment and I still haven't recovered because of all that I had suicide attempts when I didn't have money to pay for my apartment and my credit was damaged in trauma and all the economic losses no one helped me my worst decision was to have surgery with Doctor David Gunther I can't upload the photos to show you what happened to my foot.

Dr. Gunther is an awesome podiatrist. He was (keyword 'WAS') my doctor from 2012 to 2017. I'm a life long runner (41M) and started having calf/achilles/heel pain in 2011. I could run half marathons uncomfortably but never full marathons. David performed a surgical gastroc recession procedure on both legs (2013 and 2016). Not only did I get back to full health in 6 months, I can run faster and farther than ever before. I have since run 10+ marathons including the Houston Marathon the last 5 years (most recently Jan 2024).The procedure was meant to get back to full health but little expectation of improving. Dr. Gunther and the PT staff were just so awesome in my recovery. I still text him every year to say THANK YOU. My life will never be the same.If you need a podiatrist, look no further!

Very knowledgeable and friendly
I have been visiting the office of Dr. Gunther for a couple of years, my daughter goes there too.Dr. Gunther is not only very knowledgeable but also very friendly. He performed two surgeries on me, one on each foot. I really appreciate his care; his office staff is very friendly as well. Shout out to the physical therapy team who took good care of me. Dr. Gunther makes you feel good about the care you are receiving, I personally experienced it when I was between jobs, and I was facing some challenges with my health insurance. Thank you, Westside Podiatry, for your care.

Dr Gunther has treated my broken toe by removing the toe nail and doing surgery to repair the bone. This has been a long process and all without infection or other issues. He has great bed-side manner, is friendly, is experienced, and he cares about his patient's care. Thanks Dr Gunther.

I have been needing a doctors letter for my VA disability and was told to schedule and appointment, So I scheduled the appointment and saw the doctor again. Dr. Gunther said he would provide the letter I need. I have called them numerous times and they have said the doctor will call me. As of yet I have been waiting since early FEB 2021 for this letter. There is no excuse for this. I'm assuming I will have to go see another doctor for them to provide a letter.

After having shreded my ankle twice, yes twice, (different doctors) I saw Dr. Gunther for Orthotics and loved him. Then because of the previous damage I needed reconstruction surgery and he did a fantastic job! My husband now sees him also.

Dr. Gunther and his staff are a great team and I love their attitudes. Dr. Gunther recommended me to try Shockwave therapy and PRP for my foot pain and I was hesitant at first, but I am so THANKFUL I tried it instead of having surgery. Literally three visits with five minutes of pain and my foot is virtually pain free. So much better than the pain and down time associated with surgery. Dr. Gunther knows his stuff, so listen to him. He takes the time to talk to you and explain things, not in a rush to just get you out the door. I really appreciate that!

I highly recommend Dr. Gunther. He is very knowledgeable and has a great bedside manner. I took my 16 year old son in for an ingrown toenail and he fixed it that very day. He clearly explained aftercare and had great rapport with my son. Dr. Gunther will always be our families only choice for a podiatrist. We are very happy with his service.

I was suffering a long time with my toes on both feet and was at the point where I could not walk or stand without some pain. Then Dr. Gunther came to my rescue. He gave me my options and spent time explaining what to expect. I have had surgery on both feet and I am so happy. I would dance in the street if I was not so old. But Dr. Gunther with his expertise has given me the ability to walk without pain. There are not enough good or kind words to say about his office staff who were so helpf

It takes a miracle to get to the appointment. If there are any insurance or referral questions, your appointment is cancelled just hours before due and you are contacted about the problem with no time to do whatever incredulous paperwork they may need. No help is offered and the attitude is one of belligerence and hostility. If the doctor is worthwhile, why does he allow his staff to be so abusive and unhelpful? Warning. If they are this way before you see the doctor...
