Condescending & ignorant to my scared sister facing cancer. Gubler refused to release my sister from the hospital. Insisting on a "consult. We told him many times that a cancer biopsy was scheduled & a consult was just more $. She could have gone home at 10AM per her blood count, we left at 6PM It was as if wanted us to pay more. Fiduciary irresponsibility that we must pay for. He changed her Rx knowing nothing about her. Primary care Dr changed them all back to previous doses. We asked MANY TIMES to have her released, no need for the consult. He then stated"it might be 11 PM until I can get back here to release her, he's busy" that is a direct violation of her patient rights; "To be free from restraints of any form that are not medically necessary or are used as a means of retaliation by staff." Gubler refused to speak to me about her care. a violation of patient rights. "To choose a person to be her healthcare rep. and decision maker" If he was assigned as dr again, I would refuse

So far so good. I lost my PCP and I found Dr. Gubler. He worked with me E en know my situation is very complex. He is very caring, calm, a true professional. He was a Godsend for sure. His MA Cody has also tried hard to help me. As long as he will have me Dr. Gubler will remain my PCP.
