Dr. Feller-Kopman was instrumental in saving my life. I was in the ER with lymphoma, sepsis, and fluid on the lungs. After he drained the fluid, my heart rate dropped at least 100 points, and I was able to speak without wheezing (though still on oxygen). Of course, the antibiotics I was receiving were important, too; they cleared up the bloodstream infection..

At Johns Hopkins Hospital before a thoracentesis, Feller-Kopman asked me to sign papers stating he would perform the surgery. Instead he let an MBA dr continue to injure me even after I complained twice that this was a left side procedure and I should not have pain on the right side. As a result, my left lung is partially collapsed. Due to extreme pain I could only shallow breathe and was unable to keep my lung open.
