Excellent doctor
Dr Ellenberg is very kind and speaks gently. He explains everything clearly and answers all questions. I appreciate his gentle manner, it is comforting. I could not ask for more. He is extremely knowledgeable and likable.

Worst experience with a MD ever
Never had a experience like this with a so called medical doctor in my life. Walks in diagnosis me with a scary disease and rushes out with asking me if I have any questions left. Felt like a number and was just rushed out of there as another item in the machine to make money from.

Second opinion
I came to see Dr.Ellenberg for a second opinion on my macular hole surgery I had with another retina specialist doctor that was dismissing me at my appointments! Dr. Ellenberg answered all my questions and gave me a treatment plan that I will now follow up with him. I’m very happy I came here , appointment was quick, came in at 7 am and out by 8. Office staff was awesome!! Thank you so much

The WORST experience I’ve ever had with a medical professional. As someone with extreme anxiety, I am absolutely DISGUSTED by the blatant disrespect and disregard for my emotional state by Dr. Ellenberg from the minute he enters the room. I was yelled at and patronized for being nervous. So yeah, if you want a surgeon who can barely look you in the eye, who speaks about you like you’re not in the room, and who leaves skid marks on his way out the door then Dr. Ellenberg is 5/5 stars.

Outstanding! My first visit to the practice (referred by my physician). I arrived at the scheduled time (7AM), very brief wait before being taken back and immediately began my diabetic eye exam. Their process is a well-oiled machine and all of the techs and Dr. Ellenberg were professional and efficient. I was prepared for a "two hour" process, but I was done in one. Well done!

This office has some incredible people and i can tell they care very much, but I've waited three weeks for a return phone call for Brian (Technician) to talk with someone about scheduling appointments with a new doctor for potential help with what I'm plauged with. Through all of my appointments there has been compassion and a willingness to listen up until I called a few weeks ago. I was told to expect a return call between 1 day and TWO WEEKS. I was a bit confused with how it could be so long but I do understand it's very busy and agreed. Tomorrow is 3 weeks and I have heard nothing. I've left 5 or 6 messages asking for even a small update throughout these weeks. I've never heard of a medical office ignoring a patient that just wants help, I've been so patient and understanding. I have awful eye floaters and have been disregarded for treatment strictly because of my age, but this problem doesn't care about age. I'll call and schedule at another location. Will update more on google

Appears to be a good surgeon, but you feel rushed in appointment. Questions are not answered with any depth. Doesn't discuss risks and some things that could occur as a result of the surgery. Says to contact him anytime with questions, but only unqualified staff returns your call and cannot answer your questions.

Dr. Ellenberg was knowledgeable and able to answer questions - plus, he was cheerfully willing. I only had a few minutes with him directly, but they were used well. I got the answer to my current health needs, and clearly knew what to watch for in the future. Additionally, I remembered one last question I‘d forgotten earlier, and happened to see him in the hall - again, he was cheerfully willing to answer, and I left understanding my eye health and future needs in a much clearer “big picture” way. Bring your questions written down - your time with the Dr. will feel brief, but if you’re ready to use it well, he’s ready to be an excellent resource. Highly recommend.
