Dr. David Dunner, MD

Condescending. Literally rolled his eyes when I reported my trauma history. The cost is obscene and he should be ashamed honestly. To top it all off, his office called years later when TMS became covered by my insurance. He was not my provider, only there for a second opinion. I had not expressed interest in TMS but he pushed it heavily. So to get that call years later, which is frank ambulance chasing, was enraging. His motivation, I my experience, is money over compassion.

He is a Psychiatrist, not a therapist. He asks valid questions so his opinion is not subjective. He can help with your medications and he is always following up. Other Doctors don't do that. If you need someone to just talk to, call a therapist. Psychiatrists and therapists work together. In most cases, like mine, you need both. True he only takes cash. So it is easy to get an appointment. If you want a Doctor who takes insurance, expect a three-month wait. Also, he will chat with you as long as you need it. He won't shove you out the door after 30 minutes. He is one of the best

If you can afford to see David Dunner, you can afford to see a better doctor for less money. He is by far the most condescending doctor I've ever visited in my entire life, and I honestly don't think he would know what to do with a patient if he didn't have his many checklists to guide him. Paint by numbers is for kids, not PhD's, and "Dr." Dunner uses credentials in lieu of competence. Also, he extends session time by making you wait while he dictates the session notes.
