deadly afraid of conventional surgery
I was really deadly afraid of the conventional surgery, just because the surgery is so, in my opinion barbaric, where they have to go in and cut some of the thickest muscles in the entire body, start chipping away at bone and all this to relieve just a small, just few millimeters of disc that I was having problems with, it just didn't seem like it made sense to me, so this is when I started doing my research, day and night,it's kind of funny when you start hurting day and night what you start doing to try to figure out a solution and that means you read a lot.

I feel like a new person
I was unable to sit, stand, sleep, or do any of the normal activities in life. All the doctors I consulted before recommended a surgery that would involve shaving off part of my spine, cutting through bone and muscle, and requiring quite a bit of downtime and that is not what I wanted. My back pain went from moments of just lightning all the way down my leg to my right, but my cheek just feeling numb and impossible to sit on till my right foot just feeling like dead weight and that's no fun for anyone. Now I feel like a million bucks. I highly recommend this surgery over any of the other surgeries out there on the market.

minimally invasive procedure.
When they say to you minimally invasive. be very very careful. because dr ditsworth's procedure is the only one after in-depth searching that is actually a minimally invasive procedure.

Happy patient
I had a surgery recommended by several several doctors. They were all recommending a microdiscectomy. They would go in and chop the bone a little bit and clear out the disc. Searching Internet I found Dr. Ditsworth who was offering the procedure that didn’t cut on any of the bones. That’s why I chose Back Institute and Dr. Ditsworth. Before the surgery I wouldn’t have been able to sit upright without my leg going numb and being in a lot of pain and right now I’m sitting comfortably. Whenever I walked around before the surgery, my leg would start going numb pretty quickly and I’m not feeling any of that anymore. I would say I got 90% recovery in one day. It was incredible. The surgery staff was amazing. Dr. Ditsworth and the staff were all very professional and polite and I would happily come back here if I had similar problem in the future.

Great results!
I had a car accident years ago and my back and right leg bothered me. I had several surgeons check me up but was not happy with their recommendations. Then I took friend's recommendation and checked out dr. Ditsworth. He consulted me 4 months ago and I decided to try out his surgery since it did not sound to be as traumatic as other options. I am glad I did. Surgery went nicely, no general anesthesia, very comfortable surgery center, nice caring staff. I was let go home quickly after surgery and returned for next day check up. Now, 3 months after the surgery I feel great, have no pain. I appreciate everybody at Back Institute for what they do and my special thanks are to Dr. Ditsworth for his excellent skills and care.

Miraculous back "surgery".
The whole process from initial contact to the actual surgery was professional flawless. As advertised ,My back pain of many years due to Herniated discs is essentially gone. I returned to work as a Gastroenterologist after just one week off. Doing PT and feeling excellent Thanks to Dr. Ditsworth and staff. The non-traumatic surgery is truly amazing. Highly recommended.

Had surgery and am having exponentially more pain.
1. Decided to go with Dr. Ditsworth because he had a minimally invasive procedure. 2. Felt comfortable with Dr. Ditsworth's initial consultation over the phone. 3. Pre-op appointment the PA handled it; barely saw Dr. Ditsworth and I did not feel comfortable. Left the office feeling like the PA was doing the surgery instead of Dr. Ditsworth because he did not examine me......the PA did and I only spoke to the doctor a few minutes before I was dismissed. 4. Follow-up next day after surgery appt. was all about giving a recommendation for the doctor on video instead of focusing on my new pain & suffering. Handed a pamphlet to follow at the end with no personal contact or instructions. 5. The more I called and complained about pain, the more meds Dr. Ditsworth prescribed and was told by the PA to expect up to 2 years on meds. 6. Will follow-up with a new surgeon because I believe Dr. Ditsworth's procedure did not help me but made me much worse.

This is the worst doctors office around. You cannot get any information about your case. They pass you off to other departments only to send you back to the start. They are rude beyond belief
