Dismissive Doctor
Telehealth
I have been feeling unwell for years. Thought I had found a good doctor but he has done nothing but dismiss everything. Labs come back abnormal and he’s always like “it’s trivial”. He’s the kind of doctor that you will end up with stage 4 cancer before he decides to pay attention. Do not recommend.

No longer.
Thee is a terrible boondoggle in trying to reach either Dr. Demoise or his nurse for information. Telephone waits can be as long as 12 minutes and then you're DISCONNECTED! It's too difficult to get information from or to Dr. Demoise. He should make an effort to correct this problem! Dr. Demoise is a fine doctor but is it worth all this hassle just to give or get information?

lacking in basic anatomical knowledge
I went to see this guy with concerns about the odd shape of my trunk at a very low body fat percentage. He didn't catch that I had lost all my abdominal tone and had moderate diastasis recti, despite being given only the information that I had acutely done extremely heavy resistance training on my lower abs and it was only after that wherein I started to feel I needed to loose abdominal muscle to achieve a good form. It would have taken only a glancing look once at a textbook's description of loss of muscle tone, or a minor association with one of the high proportion of all mothers with a similarly-distorted form, to ask the right questions. My correct diagnosis took a different doctor or a physical therapist three seconds each to discern. Either he pigeon-holed me as somebody with an eating disorder, rather than simply looking at me objectively or listening to my descriptions of the incitement of my abdominal wall weakness, or he was ignorant.Glad I got a second opinion.

Had a scheduled telehealth visit as recommended by the UPMC website given my PCP was unavailable. Instead of even listening to any of my issues or concerns, Dr. Demoise lectured me that unless I was willing to switch PCPs he would not care for me. Do not schedule with this pompous character.

Dr Demoise has been very caring and professional all the times I came in for a scheduled appointment. He has been a good listener and also gave useful advice about healthier lifestyle choices. I have greatly appreciated his dedication.

Office is dismissive and disorganized. Dr. Demoise didn't take my issues seriously and brushed them off. Told me it would take two weeks to sign one document even though I expressed that it was urgent. Do not go here.
