When I had my 2nd breast infection (was mrsa!) I shared with my doctors that I was done trying to breastfeed. I was on heavy duty anti biotics - literally the prep to pump during this, I drank a beer, took a long hot bath, then painkiler, them pump. It was a horrible experience and so painful. When the lactation consultant called to check in on me, I told her the situation; she was encouraging me to continue breastfeeding (not dumping) while on heavy duty anti biotics (and dr said do not give the milk to my baby); she called my doctor to disagree. Dr. DeFillipis told me this story later -- that he told her I said I was done with the breastfeeding and my god, it was MRSA, to leave me alone. I appreciated the Dr standing up for me, especially when there is so much pressure to insist mothers breastfeed no matter what.

I LOVE Dr DeFilippis.. My first visit with him was when I was 18 at the Frankford Hospital on Red Lion Road. I’m now 46. He delivered my three beautiful daughters -three C-sections and each pregnancy and delivery couldn’t have been better. Through the years I have never felt more comfortable.

Dr. Defilippis is an incredible doctor and I would absolutely recommend him! He was my primary doctor during my high-risk twin pregnancy and we were lucky enough to have him deliver our girls as well.
