Terrific clinical skills. Exceptional listener, and reassuring personality

Dr. Dare was the third shoulder surgeon I saw and the third time was the charm! After the 2 previous experiences I'd had with other shoulder surgeons, I vetted him well. His ratings and reputation were impressive. Upon meeting, I found him to be very personable, likeable, compassionate and caring of his patients, knowledgeable, and not arrogant as one of the other surgeons I'd seen had been. Most importantly, I felt I could trust him to take care of me. He did a right reverse shoulder replacement on October 14th. Though I did experience an unexpected and unfortunate complication in the form of a nerve injury, something which just happens from time to time during surgeries, it and my shoulder did heal well and fairly quickly. In comparing myself to others in my Shoulder Replacement Support Groups on Facebook, I found that I had little to no pain and function returned quicker than most others have experienced. I have experienced six orthopedic appointments with Dr. Dare, two with my wife and four for situations I confronted over the last five years, the last today. Dr. Dare presents in a friendly and engaging manner and is highly professional in his interface with the patient. His analysis and evaluation of the conditions being addressed and his communication to the patient of his findings and recommendations for treatment have been on the mark and easy to understand. He engenders confidence in his judgement. In every case, even regarding some significant injury, Dr. Dare's assessments and recommendations for treatment have proven correct with very good follow-on results. I do highly recommend Dr. Dare in his specialty.
