He was one of the worst doctors I've ever had. Did not explain MRI results; did not ask about my symptoms; did not offer appropriate or helpful treatment routines. If he had been my first experience with Franciscan orthopedics, I would never have gone back.

Never again
Very dismissive, rushed, did not give me a complete exam or even ask how my injury occurred. Incredibly rude and condescending, I've worked in Healthcare my entire adult life and have never been treated as badly as I was by this man. I am already looking for a second opinion. This man has zero empathy or bedside manner.

Definitely Would Recommend!!
Amazing Doctor! I went with him after a friend of mine had surgery done by him for the similar reason to what I needed. He was informative and knowledgeable. I wouldn't use anyone else. I'm almost 3 months post op and have 95% of my mobility and use back!

A Hero in my eyes
I've been going thru the process of getting a knee replacement. After dr bishop left I consulted Dr. Cortese in 2021. I love the fact that he did this in the service of our country out of country. I have a TKR planned for 2022 with him. I certainly appreciate the care taken in making sure I'm healthy enough for the surgery and I highly recommend all veterans to inquire about his availability to help them out. Thanks very Much..Brett

Very aggressive, does not lighten his grip when told he is grabbing too tight, does not like an informed patient. Rude and has no bed side manner.
