Dr. David Chen, DO

He is a honest and caring professional doctor. I seen him May 2024. He told me the pros n cons of corrective spinal surgery. I thought it over. I have spinal nerve damage from a fall and the surgery could not fix it. He was on the team of my 1st spinal fushion, Sept 2021. I decided to go with physical therapy and accupuncture. This doctor truly cares about patient's.

His spinal fusion surgery kept me from possible spinal cord severing. He is the best and I oh a lot more than thank you.

I met Dr. Chen over two months ago. At that time, I was in debilitating pain due to a pinched nerve in my spine. His calm demeanor and thorough explanations were very reassuring to me. I had a very successful surgery six weeks ago and I’m literally living my life again. He is kind, caring, and I would highly recommend him to all and anyone who is in need. I am grateful every day for his professionalism and all that he has done for me.

Excellent. Very professional. Dr Chen explained the procedure to me throughly and the expectations. The staff in both offices that I visited was also very professional. I would recommend Dr. Chen to anyone who is in need of a great neurosurgeon. I think my previous rating may have mistakenly given Dr. Chen 1 star which is INCORRECT. I definitely rate Dr. Chen, his, staff, and his facilities a 5 star.

Dr. Chen performed a full discectomy and laminectomy on me after months of debilitating pain from severe disc herniations and a previous surgery from another doctor. I walked out of the hospital the day after surgery pain free for the first time in over a year, and have never felt better since. 3 months later i am posting this from my ski trip. Dr. Chen is nothing short of an amazing, caring doctor with great bedside manner. I recommended him to my sister who is a nurse and she sent one of her upstate patients to him who had a similar miraculous recovery. Highly recommended.

No good ,make sure he take your insurance or you will waste your time with him.and do not take the test exams he give you because insurance will not approve the test exams.

Dr Chen is an excellent doctor who gave me my life back. I underwent surgery for my neck in 2015 and then my lower back in 2017 from arthritis. I cant thank him enough and the staff at St Francis hospital. He is an amazing doctor and recommend anyone to him.

I was diagnosed September 2018 by Dr. Elliott Salamon with Core Compression and sent to St. Francis Hospital for surgery with Dr. David Chen. I'am so glad to have met such a great surgeon to do my surgery because they said I could have been crippled. I am walking and getting stronger everyday . I met Dr. Chen in March 2018. I was suffering debilitating low back pain from from 3 herniated discs & torn ligaments from a car accident in 2016.Numerous modalities to treat the back were unsuccessful. Dr. Chen is a consummate professional & is very personable. He gave me a complete examination, took a thorough history & gave me a concise explanation of his clinical judgment of the treatment that would benefit me. He operated on me on 4/19/18. His expertise & care has given me my life back.
