Extremely Rude and Unprofessional Staff
I have a congenital heart defect. I had an appointment with Dr. Briston at the end of February 2023 for my annual follow up and to discuss some symptoms that have intensified. Well I received a call today 2/7/23 to cancel my appointment because his staff states I do not have a congenital heart defect. The person that called me was very rude. I mentioned that I believe there has been a mistake because I do have XYZ defect that can be life limiting if not taken care of properly. This very rude person said "No you don't, which is why we are cancelling your appoint!!" When I said there is a mistake I do have it and he has seen be previously may you please have him review my chart again. The person said sure and hung up. I personally don't believe this person is going to tell anyone to look at nothing. This is horrible!!!!

DR IS OUTSTANDING, KNOWLEDGEABLE, COMPASSIONATE.
Dr. Briston is extremely reliable, dedicated, and truly has genuine concern for his patients. Dr. Briston was compassionate after my open heart surgery and during all follow-up appointments. I am actually from Orlando and took the trip to Hollywood, FL to visit his office because of his care and expertise. He has always explained things in a way that others can comprehend without confusion and he will even draw out what is going on internally for you to have a visual. He will go frame by frame on ultrasounds to break down complex areas to explain his plan of care. He has spent long periods of time with my loved ones for him to explain why is going on to them as well to ensure everyone has a clear understanding. am blessed to call him my forever doctor. HIGHLY RECOMMEND to anyone that wants someone that not only cares about you as a patient but as a person who is experiencing a challenging time in their lives. Dr. Briston will make sure you are in the best care. A+++

Not very help at all and will not be going back
My appointment with him seemed fast and a waste of my time plus money. He gets too technical and doesn't break things down easily to understand. I am pretty much left on my own to figure things out health wise with congenital heart/open heart surgery.
