Dr. David Brinkman, MD

Dr Brinkman is obviously knowledgeable and a kind, caring healthcare provider. I appreciated how thoroughly and quickly he responded to one of my test results which was atypical. However, he seems exhausted and our appointment feels rushed, as though he has too much on his plate at once. I didn't really feel like he had the time to provide thorough patient education. I would love for my medical provider to thoroughly explain and answer questions rather than just telling me that something is fine or not anything to worry about. For various reasons, including my own personal preferences/philosophies around birthing, I am considering switching to a nurse midwife as my provider.

Absolutely amazing doctor!After a horrid experience with a different OBGYN clinic early in my second pregnancy, I was recommended the team at Caritas and specifically Dr. Brinkman from a fellow mom. After calling the office (who were so kind) I asked if Dr. Brinkman was accepting new patients and if the clinic accepted my insurance. I received a call from Brinkman himself, which never have I received a call from the doctor themselves before, always a nurse, introducing himself and asking questions about why I wanted to transfer care. I decided to at least go to one appointment, despite the drive to Sugarland, because he sounded kind. I am so thankful I did. Throughout my second and third trimester, Dr. Brinkman and his nurses, were always very kind, patient, and understanding (even when I had my toddler in tow (which other obgyn clinics I had looked into, refused children to come to appointments). When it came for delivery, Dr. Brinkman and the L&D staff at St.Luke’s were phenomenal.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this doctor's office. When I interacted with the nurse Joanne, I was met with a condescending attitude. She repeatedly talked over me, disregarding my concerns, and made me feel like my input was unimportant. It’s frustrating and disheartening to be treated like this, especially when discussing something as sensitive as your health.Unfortunately, the doctor wasn't any better. He seemed completely uninterested in hearing my concerns or finding a solution that would work for me. Despite me explaining that the treatment he was recommending had failed in the past, he was unwilling to explore other options or collaborate on finding a better course of action. It felt like my voice didn’t matter.The only positive aspect was the front desk staff, who were kind. However, that doesn’t make up for the lack of compassion and professionalism I received from the nurse and doctor. Healthcare is an emotional and personal matter, and it’s terrible when

It is so nice to come across a doctor that really values what he does and that treats you like a human that actually lives in the body you're there about. Dr Brinkman is a really good listener and teacher.

I have already recommended this practice, and Dr. Brinkman specifically to multiple friends. I had been to an on/gyn for my PCOS before and hadn't received as thorough an explanation of my symptoms. Previous doctors had not given me options other than birth control, or metformin, neither of which I really desired to take. I'm very happy with the care and options Dr. Brinkman gave me.

I saw Dr Brinkman yesterday for the first time. He is amazing! Took lots of time and explained everything in detail. He made me feel completely at ease and was very knowledgeable about what was going on with my issues. He has a very pleasant personality and a good sense of humor. I would highly recommend him!
