Prescribed Fentanyl patches to a family member for their migraines. Said family member fell asleep standing up. Spouse of said family member sent a notice to Dr. Blake if cutting the patches in half would be a good way to cut side effects by taking a half dose. Dr. Blake never responded. I was 7 years old and did not understand that my mother was gone for a week because she was addicted to an extremely dangerous opioid and in rehab for it. But if they'd cut the patches, I wouldn't have been confused or afraid at all. Because my mother would have died instantly. As much as I want to say things that will rightfully get this comment deleted for obscenity, what I want most of all is to WARN other potential or current patients. People like my mother. I'm sure he doesn't prescribe Fentanyl anymore, now that they get in trouble for doing it; now that the public knows. But he did. He knew that when he wrote those prescriptions he was poisoning my mother. Do not trust this person.

I took my 85 year old father to see Dr. Blake yesterday for the first time. It’s been a long time since I met a doctor so compassionate- and sharp!

Dr. Blake is an "old school" physician who takes the time to listen to the patient complaint and then takes the time to thoroughly respond with verbal explanation, medication, and/or testing. When initially diagnosed with MS, I sought medical opinions from three other neurologists. Dr. Blake's personality alone won me over!

Dr.Blake is one of the kindest, big hearted smart doctors I know. He not only is a VERY knowledgeable doctor but he has a TERRIFIC bed side manor. He always gives me all the time I need to ask him questions and even remembers my family members names and inquires about them at every visit. In my opinion there IS no other neurologist in the country any better than Dr.David Blake!!!!
