Awful virtual appointment
Telehealth
I had a Teladoc appointment with this guy for an eye Infection. This guy was awful, I won’t even call him a doctor. He was condescending and rude. He needs to retire and not practice. People are depending on him for help.

Spot On
Dr. Bernheimer saw me shortly after I arrived in the ER unable to speak in complete sentences. He listened to my symptoms, asked a few questions, made his diagnosis (aphasia after a migraine). He said he'd run a few tests, including an MRI of the brain, but very likely I'd be able to go home after a few hours. He was spot on. Three hours after arriving, my speech was normal. Yes, the facility is ramshackle (and about to be upgraded), but the team was first-rate. Highly recommended.

Lacks Empathy
Telehealth
If you’re in need of a doctor who will empathize or sympathize, do not meet with Dr Bernheimer! Little to no consideration for me as a patient, and acted like he couldn’t get off the call fast enough; a call that lasted 5 minutes but would appear a lifetime for him.

Stay away unless you want to feel worse.

Doesn't care. Misdiagnoses you, minimizes your symptoms, makes fun of you, lets you down;arrogant, condescending while being completely incompetent. I echo everything that's already been said by other patients.

His Knowledge Is Questionable.
If you want a knowledgeable doctor, look elsewhere. He won’t be able to help you. He will avoid questions he can’t answer. He is dismissive and does not listen to help.

Need to develop empathy
Telehealth
Dr. Bernheimer's teleconsultation lacked empathy and left room for improvement. I explained my four-day ordeal with fever and a sore throat, but his response seemed disinterested. He promptly prescribed medication without much explanation, and when I asked for more details, he provided minimal information, 'I'll give you prescription medications'neglecting to mention potential side effects or check my allergies, specifically my known sensitivity to Ibuprofen. Went to the pharmacy and his prescribed medications were cough suppressant (I didn't have a cough) and an over-the-counter throat spray. Additionally, he didn't offer guidance on what to do if my condition worsened, which it eventually did, prompting me to seek urgent care. Unfortunately, the teleconsultation with Dr. Bernheimer lasted only five minutes, leaving me hesitant about using TELEDOC services in the future.

Arrogant and rude

Had a teledoc visit. Camera was aimed just at corner of his head as if he didn’t want to be seen. Asked two questions and diagnosed me with a stomach virus. He told me to wash my hand and take ibuprofen.

Telehealth visit, he was rude and there was screaming in the background. Camera kept shifting and just dropped midway through my explanation without a word. Never returned.

via Teladoc; rushed and condescending
I had a virtual visit with Dr. Bernheimer via Teladoc, because I was concerned about a very heavy period (bleeding heavy enough go through 115 tampons in 3 days), which occurred over a weekend. He was condescending, rushed, and unconcerned. Making no attempt to quantify my blood loss, he said not to worry unless I felt faint and had a normal heart rate. I was surprised an ER doc was ignorant of the fact that young healthy females may present with near-normal vital signs despite substantial blood loss before rapidly decompensating. I've since learned that Teladoc pays physicians per visit, financially incentivizing them to churn through as many patients per hour as they can. The fact that my "appointment" lasted perhaps six minutes attests to where Dr. Bernheimer's priorities lie.

I utilized Dr. Bernheimer's services via Teledoc thru my Blue Shield plan. He was very nice at the start of the call, during which I explained that I needed an antibiotic for a UTI & Difulcan for the accompanying yeast infection. However, that changed VERY quickly when he noticed that I listed Oxycodone as a current medication on the pre-screening questions. He then became extremely rude and condescending. Ultimately, I was able to get the antibiotics I requested, though I left that call feeling like less of a person simply because I require pain medicine, on a temporarily basis, in order to continue to work 40+ hours per week and provide for my family while awaiting spinal fusion surgery. It is my opinion that Dr. Bernheimer seems quite jaded and needs to be reminded that not everyone being prescribed a narcotic for pain is a "junkie". Many of us are simply trying to continue to function as productive members of society despite chronic, and sometimes excruciating, pain.

visit was a bit rushed. It was a telecdoc visit. Dr. didn't seem to really care about my pain in my throat but just wanted me off the line seem like. Didn't explain why he would be prescribing lung numbing medication since I had a sore throat not a cough. Just wished he would have appeared more concerned instead of rushed with the "next" feeling.... I haven't taken the medicine yet cause Im not sure its the right one visit was too rushed and not explained.
