Creepy
Felt like he was trying to assert dominance. Tapped toes with me for greeting. When I tapped toes to say goodbye, he acted as if this was the stupidest thing ever done.

Excellent
Please ignore the negative comments. This doctor removed three tumors in my bladder. This doctor is an excellent diagnostician, very direct and to the point, and found my problem immediately. He is articular and explains things well. He spent a lot of time with me and got me into surgery very quickly. He called me two days afterwards to let me know my pathology results indicated the best possible outcome for my cancer. My recovery was excellent and I am scheduled for a minimum number of post treatments. Followup will be every 3-6 months. He had a great plan for my case. I recommend him for anyone. Other doctors that we saw for different reasons think he is an excellent surgeon also. I recommend him highly.

Absolute worst
I had a ureteroscopy 2 years ago and am in more pain than before this "doctor" performed the procedure. I have developed numerous other health conditions as a result, including headaches, searing side pain (complications that I was NEVER warned about), gi issues, severe anxiety, body aches, etc. I had never had so much as a skinned knee before Dr. Beard operated on me, and afterward I feel like I'm dying every day. Upon my follow up, he knew he was directly responsible for the excruciating pain I was in and just wanted me out of his office, so he asked me if I would hold my chart, then got up and said "have a nice day" and walked out. Unbelievable! Steer clear of this man if you value your life.

If you want a doctor who doesn't care . . – Sep 13, 2022

Rude and just doesn't care!
My father was a former pt. of a Dr. that had went to the VA, and his pts were turned over to JC Urology. My Dad just happened to end up w/ Beaird. My Dad was 82 at the time and Bladder Cancer, that had not even invaded the Muscle Wall, had showed up after an exam, and this man had the audacity to tell my Father, and. I quote " At your age, I wouldn't worry about it. I'd just go home and enjoy the rest of my life" end quote! Yes I reported him, had it out with him, told the office he is to NEVER go around my Dad again, and he avoids me like the plague. My Dad has had 3 surgeries and treatments for BC, buts he's 88 and he's alive!!! Steer clear of this man. He turned around and walked out of the room when my friend was trying to ask him questions about what was wrong with her Dad. I've had Drs with no bedside manor, but he pretty much didn't even want to try with my Dad. I'd give 0 stars if I could.

Dr. Beaird is an excellent urologist and surgeon. He is direct, he doesn't sugar coat results. Straight up honesty and to the point. He performed a radical right kidney nephrectomy removing a large mass embedded in the kidney. Best to be up front, direct and honest and get a path forward in my opinion. Thank you Dr. David Bearird for your no qualms successful treatment to me.

In my opinion, a one star rating is much too high for this physician. A close family member was seen by this individual several years ago. Without going into detail, our experience was so horrible that I contacted both the office manager as well as the TN Department of Health (Joint Commission) to report his behavior. As expected, nothing was done. It is appalling to me to get online and see some of the very same things that happened with us, STILL happening to other patients. After several outpatient surgical procedure failures and horrifying in-office procedures, my husband finally went to a urologist at UT Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. He had surgery done at that facility by a wonderful urologist and has not had the first problem since. His bedside manner, arrogance and just plain lack-of-caring and compassion for other human beings is beyond belief. Think twice folks before seeing this joker. It doesn't do any good to complain about him either.

This man, when informed that my father had inoperable cancer—a tumor on his superior vena cava, told my dad that the cadaver Beaird had in med school had been “done in” by a tumor in the same spot.

Always joking and doesn’t take things serious. I went in for prostate inflamation which he said didn’t exist. I had all the symptoms and couldn’t urinate. He gave me viagra, which I had no need for and told me to go get laid. I found this insulting and unprofessional. He’s friendly and I’m sure he’s good but my experience is he’s always making a joke of things so it’s hard to know what to do. I went to one of his associates Dr Tongco and had a more professional, corrective experience.

This So called dr is the worst person I have ever met. After doing a Biopsy on my husband at Franklin Woods He tells me to "go ahead and make arrangements" Anyway against Beard's suggestion I went to CTCA and 5 years later my husband is alive. This person should not be practicing and since there are other options PLEASE do not take his advise. I sincerely hope he can find another profession and not Alarm other families .
