Works Both Sides - Follows The Money
Dr. Aversa is hired by school districts to evaluate as well as being in private practice. Beware! If the district is paying for his services, he will side with them. My child desperately needed to be outplaced and we had more than enough proof that was in my child’s best interest. Dr. Aversa’s “evaluation” was nothing more than summarizing all of the previous reports supporting outplacement, yet in the end, he recommended my child STAY in the broken setting. He did not even observe my child in the actual school environment. Completely money-driven decision. Thank G_d for a school nurse who would not hear of that nonsense and advocated solely from her heart for my child. Could never in good conscience recommend.

I am truly disappointed.
My daughter is a student at QU. She has been struggling this semester and was referred to Dr. Aversa through the QU health clinic. She is a quiet kid and has trouble advocating for herself. When her meds that he prescribed were not enough and she needed him to speak to a pharmacist at CVS.,,she reached out, He NEVER returned the email or called the pharmacy. AT the least, he should have communicated with her. I find this out now, that she is back home because we as parents of students over 18 have to honor HIPPA. How can I do that, when doctors do not RESPECT or look at young adults as competent or capable of advocating for themselves. I am extremely frustrated with the Health service staff at QU.

I decided NOT take my son back there. Weeks without a return call while my son was in an accute mental health crisis. Looked bored when we did see him. Talked about getting patens on new meds to market to patients during our sessions. Very uncomfortable to hear his salesmanship. Snake charmer.

Therapists, doctors, and staff at two locations only cared about our child as a revenue source. Seek treatment elsewhere... be well!

I saw Dr. Aversa for a while and did not like him. He didn’t seem to really care about his patients. One time Dr. Aversa was 25 minutes late to my appointment so I left because I had work and they told me I had to pay for the missed appointment as if I didn’t show up. This office is ridiculous and you shouldn’t come here. The front desk staff are unprofessional and waste time. I needed my records transferred to a new office, since i left this one. After putting in my release form, I had to ask them 3 times over a weeks time to send them over. Every time I asked, except the 3rd, they said they would do it that day and didn't. Now I am at risk for not getting to proper accommodations I need for my mental illness for college. I explained the urgency of the situation but they were dismissive. This is ridiculous. You shouldn't have to hound a business to do their job, its unprofessional and not my job. Now that they didn't do their job, I may have to pay the consequences.

Bad News. He is only after the money. Charges cash and that is all he is interested in. Poor follow up and treated me like a piece of meat. Stay away.
