Dismissive
I had a very poor experience with Dr. Callahan via the K Health app, similar to the other review left. I was just looking to get my standard refill that works well for me, but he suggested an SSRI/therapy instead. I let him know I wanted to continue with my normal prescription (a low dose anti anxiety medication) and that I was looking to start therapy soon. He refused to refill my normal prescription since I didn’t accept his recommendation of Lexapro, despite my assurance that my current medication works for me and I am comfortable with it. I found him to be incredibly dismissive and rude, and ignorant of all the information I was telling him.

Refuses to treat chronic conditions
I signed up for K Health’s primary care program, which was advertised as being able to help with chronic illnesses. I had my visit with Dr. Callahan and told him about my fatigue and that it is impacting my daily life. He immediately told me my case was too complex to be treated online and that I probably just need therapy. I’m very confused about three things: 1) how did he know my case is complicated when he didn’t talk to me about it at all 2) how is it irresponsible to treat fatigue online when your entire company is virtual healthcare 3) how is my case super complex but I just need therapy? Dr. Callahan is a totally lazy doctor who is as I dismissive of his patients, he should not even be allowed to practice medicine. He clearly doesn’t want to anyway.
