Seemed very attentive
Saw Dr. Alaimo for 11 months, I see it as having wasted 11 months of my life. He absolutely refused to order imaging for me, I had neck pain, and several symptoms...he kept telling me I had a head mri in June 2020..."we know you don't have a brain tumor". I can't tell you how many times he said this. He kept offering medication...and PT. I finally switched neurologists, got a neck x-ray, which showed extensive damage/issues...finally was approved for an MRI...and it was discovered that I have spinal stenosis and there are areas of my spine that are being compressed causing my symptoms. I am thankful that Alaimo is in my rearview mirror at this point and am glad I am moving towards surgery and healing. Very frustrated with Alaimo and he did me a total disservice by not ordering imaging. PT helped to improve my symptoms after the imaging, as it allowed the therapist to see what they were working with! Doctors need to listen to their patients. We don't all fit into one box.

I have seen a plethora of doctors in many fields in this area. I believe Dr Alaimo is the best I have seen. His credentials are impressive. His expertise with nerve issues was apparent. He listened for an hour (without a computer screen), never making me feel rushed. He made the most helpful diagnosis and recommendations I have ever received. I highly recommend Dr Alaimo.

Terrible! Dr. Alaimo scheduled an appointment (for a family member) and took an unannounced vacation. Imagine the disappointment, standing at his locked office door only to be told by a passing Mail delivery person...”that the Doctor is on vacation this week...” What kind of service and commitment to quality care is that? Are you kidding me Doc? Pathetic service and a grade of “F”.

Dr. Alaimo literally save my life. I had been misdiagnosed with "carpal tunnel" by a previous (horrible) neurologist and suffered for 9 months and was constantly misdirected by other doctors. I finally found Dr. Alaimo's good reviews online and insisted that I see him-- and only him --after my problem began to spread on my left side. What a gem of a human being and doctor. I had a detailed thorough exam and Dr. Alaimo listened to me carefully. It turns out that I had a very serious spinal cord compression in my neck and needed immediate surgery. I was in danger of being paralyzed or even death. Dr. Alaimo advocated for me to find an excellent neurosurgeon and I had a successful surgery 3 weeks ago. I am getting better every day--my hand work again. Dr. Alaimo and his entire staff were brilliant, kind and helpful every step of the way. All of this took place during the COVID crisis where the entire office was risking their own lives/health to help others.

I recently went to Dr. Alaimo for a full hand to elbow nerve screening without any previous knowledge of how this process worked. From the moment I arrived until I finally walked out the door I was treated with respect, courtesy, professionalism, and a high level of technical skill. Everyone on his staff, from the receptionist, to his PA (Sarah), to Dr. Alaimo himself, made sure that my medical concerns were their highest priority. An appointment that was well worth my time!!

I have to say everyone in this office was nothing but top notch for being accommodating and pleasant! My first neurologist visit ever and I didn't know what to expect! Dr Alaimo and his staff made my visit very comfortable even when he stuck me with all those needles and then turned that dial up! Totally professional and something I will never forget! Thanks for helping me get through all this nerve damage stuff!
