My Visit on Sept.5 2024
When I got to the office I felt rushed and I didn't feel welcomed at all,Dr.Smith wasn't verey pleasent but was kinda but when he looked at my x-rays then he introduce himself, then he looked at my x-rays for about 20mins. and he didn't look at them with me at all.Only thing he said was you have alot of arthritis and then he said he order more x-rays and he walked out the door and said by the way nice meeting you.I thought that was kinda rude. Now I don't know who is worse Dr.Barber from PCI or DR.Smith from Mercy Hospital I felt like I took up his time because I felt RUSHED.I never been a Dr. Office and not having a Dr. not asking there patients if they had any ? to ask it doesn't matter if they do or not but a Good Dr. would of ask anyway. This should not be on a time period visit.Plus I was there 15min early and I couldn't get my paper work done and I was rushed back into patient room.

NEVER AGAIN
He is the worst!!! Nothing improved with him. I have to see a speech person to try and get my voice back to normal. I had terrible vertigo for 3 weeks. He Never relieved pain. He didn't seem to be worried about, so he gave me more pain meds. This has been going on for 2 years. Today I found out I have 2 broken screws in my neck. I would never go back to him. I'm trying to find a different neurosurgeon to repair the broken screws in my neck

From the first time I met with Dr Smith, I knew I was in good hands. He took the time to ask me specific questions about my back pain. He reviewed my MRI with me, pointing out abnormalities and explained in detail the procedures he would be performing. He patiently answered my questions and at no time did I feel rushed or dismissed. Office staff very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend Dr Smith. Pamela Clayton Marion, IA
