Dr. Darin Epstein, MD

I asked for a full body exam to look at numerous moles. I have had skin cancer and this exam was very important to me. He gave me a brief 3 minute visit with very little exam. He looked at my forearms, front of my lower legs and one side of my face. He did not look at my torso, back, feet, or thighs. The worst possible exam! Anything but thorough! I will not recommend and will not be retuning.

If I could, I would give Dr. Epstein zero stars. He should not be allowed near patients, since he has absolutely no interest in helping them. I booked an appointment with him to take a look at a skin rash I had developed. Aside from telling me that he couldn't be certain what the issue was, since he had forgotten to bring the necessary equipment to properly inspect the rash, he prescribed an anti dandruff shampoo that did nothing to improve my condition. I ended up having to make another appointment with a different dermatologist, who correctly diagnosed my condition as eczema and prescribed a cream that took care of the issue. To add insult to injury, I ended up paying over $300 for both visits, since Dr. Epstein's office refused to waive the charges for my appointment, despite having received entirely inadequate care from him. DO NOT see this doctor!

I booked my appointments with Dr. Epstein 4 months ago on a recommendation from my primary care physician. When the time came, Dr. Epstein canceled my long awaited appointed without any explanations or offer to fit me in somewhere else. He essentially told his nurse to put me in the "next available" slot, just like nothing happened. The next available slot was 2 months out. This uncaring attitude is a red flag to me. I won't be rescheduling. Disappointed in his "bed side manners".

Very kind and personable. Takes time to answer questions and explain everything. Never felt rushed. He even took the time to answer a question about a skin issue separate from what my appointment was about.
