Dr. Danton Dungy, MD

Dr. Dungy performed my knee replacement surgery this week. He is an awesome doctor. He is very personable and caring. He explains everything you need to know and answered all of questions. His office staff is awesome too. Everyone is friendly, caring and informative . They also answer the phone when you. I highly recommend Dr Dungy.

Dr. Dungy and his entire team were extremely professional, caring and went above and beyond to make my experience as smooth as possible! I would highly recommend using Dr. Dungy for your hip or knee replacements.

The information prior to surgery and the care after surgery was what really stood out. I couldn’t have asked for a better team. The coordination of care with the postoperative nursing and physical therapist was so impressive.

I've been a regular at DOC for 7 years. Entire team is courteous, compassionate, and timely. Had a total knee replacement December 13. With their support, my recovery has been a breeze.

Excellent, thorough care!

I have had 3 joint replacements (2 knee and 1 hip) and the experience with Dr Dungy was far and away the best. You are kept informed in a professional manner and his bedside manner is excepti9onal. I would highly recommend Dr Dungy to anyone for joint replacement. You will not be disappointed.

Unfortunately, this review will not be a 5 star review. To start with my wife had her hip replaced with Dungy Orthopedic Center. The follow ups consisted of "Everything looks great !" Despite my wife being unable to walk without great pain and difficulty. After I accepted a new job with a different health coverage (Cigna Gold) and my wife having Medicare we were told by the front office that they don't accept Cigna and we are now persona non grata. Not sure what happened to the oath to do no harm and to care for the welfare of each patient. Despite the fact that even if they are not in network with Cigna we are still eligible for out of network care, with of course supplemented by Medicare. I tried to leave a voicemail for Dr. Dungy, but the front office says He doesn't have a voicemail. That is convenient. My wife was accused of knowingly not telling the office that we had changed insurance. This is absolutely not true and as I stated earlier, it wouldn't matter because of the out of network coverage. Very disappointed in this facility. Susan is in great pain and unable to walk 18 months after her hip replacement at Dungy Orthopedic Center. We are now seeing another Orthopedic specialist and are hopeful for a revision to the very poor treatment we received at Dr. Dungy's office.

Dr. Dungy always takes the time to make sure all questions are answered for his patients. He has been our Orthopedic surgeon for many years-we would not trust our joints to any other doctor! His staff is fabulous and Erin is the best PA I have ever had.

I’ve had a hip & both knees replaced and all 3 went perfectly. He was always there for any questions or concerns.

He took time to talk to me and explain everything. He answered all my questions. He had a video to watc, which was very helpful. Anytime I had a question, I would call his office and his staff either knew the answer or would contact him and get the answer and call me back properly. He was probably the best doctor I’ve ever had and I highly recommend him

Couldn’t have asked for a better experience from start to finish with my first total knee replacement from the interaction with the staff on the first phone call to the 6 week post op. Was always informed of what to expect and what was normal recovery. Dr. Dungy is a one of a kind doctor - very personable and tells it like it is and cares for his patients overall well being. Will definitely be doing the second knee with him.

Dr. Dungy is a cut above. He is personable, listens to you, addresses your concerns and above all is a gifted surgeon. It is not often that one can give a sterling recommendation for a doctor, but in this case it is a given. It is evident that he has a genuine interest for each patient by the interaction in his waiting room among the patients, who agree that he is one in a million. He is approachable, yet professional. Who can say that their surgeon is like a friend? I have given out 6 of his cards to others (to date) who are anticipating knee replacement surgery.

My visit to Dr. Dungy‘s office was excellent like always. Very friendly staff and their concern about my well-being which I like.

Very satisfied with Dr Dungy and his entire staff from the clinic visits through surgery and postop. The surgery process was excellent, very professionally done, great communication. The outpatient option provided better communication opportunities compared to a hospital environment. The physical therapy recommendations were spot on and has gone very well.

Total hip replacement

Dr. Dungy and his staff put their patients first. They are very helpful and friendly. I received pamphlets, emails and texts with information I needed before and after my surgery. Any questions or concerns I may have had were addressed promptly. My surgery went smoothly and I had very little pain. I cannot express how satisfied I am with my surgery results. Dr. Dungy has been a miracle worker for me.

The very warm feeling that the office gave you

Dr. Dungy and his team at DOC are second to none. I had a great experience with my total knee replacement two months ago. I always felt that I was priority #1 during visits and the day of surgery. Top notch medical care and service with a nice personal touch.
