Dr. Danielle Whitacre, MD

I’m in general agreement with the tone of an earlier review that Whitacre is not a patient-oriented physician. For example, she had ordered a blood test for my wife that showed several test abnormalities. There was no follow-on discussion as to results, possible courses of action, etc. Another example, my wife had shown a positive Covid test result. I had requested immediate intervention with a specific drug. The response from the message center was just “no”, she prescribes a different drug, There was no follow-on response to two requests for a medical-based justification for the preference.

Provided care for my mother at her assisted living community. This doctor never visited my mother, sent nurse practitioners instead, and prescribed a drug that is not approved for dementia patients. Noticed remarkable decrease in my mother's cognitive functions and physical well-being due to this prescription and asked to remove her from the drug, which took them 4 months to decrease the dosage. NP would not remove her from the drug until replaced by another drug which was based upon a bad opinion by nurse practitioner. Because I forced them to make a change, they dropped my mother from their practice, sent the notice to my mother's assisted living instead of my address (which is the POA address) and left us without PCP. I cannot recommend this physician or Bloom Healthcare for any services for a loved one.
