I show up with a crushed foot but left my credit cards home (so no way to pay the Copay, immediately). I offer to call the second I get home and pay via phone; The Office Manger says No. While she's giving me her song and dance as to why payment is SUCH an IMMEDIATE NECESSITY to them, she's telling me how my foot will be X-Ray'ed again (unnecessary - simply a move to collect more money) and possibly MRI'ed - (more money to collect). Then she talks about how there's going to be a follow-up's and physical therapy (as in, I'll be paying THEM for these things). Ridiculous. I told her I didn't like this office, and walked out. The office is all about finding strategic ways to collect Co-Pays from their patients. Medical care should be about making people well, again; Not sucking every penny possible out of people's pockets like desperate leeches. Dr. Wilen might have nice credentials, but his office is ran like a swarm of lampreys. Find another Orthopedist.

I was diagnosed with scoliosis; this guy claims I do not have scoliosis. Also claimed forward head posture is due to my bra size and made a super creepy comment about how he noticed aforementioned bra size in the x-ray. Suggested a breast reduction.

Dr.Wilen has done surgery on both shoulders. I’ve had great improvement. Highly recommend.

Dr. Wilen is an excellent orthopedist who has been treating members of my family and me for years. He has consistently provided sound advice and skilled treatment when needed. I highly recommend him.

My visit was one of a kind. I arrived with debilitating back pain with causes unknown. After I finished filling out paperwork I was called in within a wait time of no more than 5 minutes. The knowledge of Doctor Wilen was impeccable. I was promptly taken for an X-ray on site and recommended for an MRI. On my 2nd visit I was quickly and efficiently tended to same as the original visit. Not only was I able to determine the cause of my pain but thanks to various treatment methods I walked out of the office pain free and thoroughly satisfied with my visit. With a very caring doctor and an attentive staff, I highly recommend Dr. Wilen as a first choice! 6 out of 5 stars if it was possible!

I highly recommend Dr Wilen. He attempts all non surgical procedures; surgery being last resort. I am extremely satisfied with his services in caring for multiple joint issues (shoulder and cervical spine to name a few).

You are nothing but deal flow to this guy. After being rear ended by a large truck and suffering severe whiplash he refused to sign my disability forms unless I agreed to very invasive shoulder surgery that I did not need. Avoid this guy if you care about your body.

The poor reviews are correct: Dr. (he doesn’t deserve the title) Wilen may be the worst and least competent doctor. I went in for a shoulder injury. The PA asked me to raise my arm two different ways. When the doctor came in, he never touched me or looked at my shoulder or asked me to move any which way. I was never told to undress. He never examined me. I told the doctor I was in severe pain and he laughed. His PA administered the shot, not he. He said I need an MRI but refused to give me the script for it until I came back a second time. He just wanted to get more money out of my injury. When I went back the third time for my MRI results, the PA explained it to me. It was a minor injury, she said. I took notes. I never wanted to see him again. I went to a real and competent doctor with the MRI results and my notes. What he said is the exact opposite of what I was told. It was a major injury, which would explain the severe pain I still had. I may need surgery if it won’t heal.
