Torzala has the worst bedside manner that I’ve ever experienced. After a very serious diagnosis, he would not take the time to answer more than two questions, which I had to ask while he walked down the hall, escorting me from the facility.

Lacks empathy and extremely rushed
I've had epilepsy for the majority of my life. I was switched to Dr. Torzala when a previous Dr. had left the practice. I didn't want to move doctors due to the stress and hassle. He rushes through every appointment and never cared to run annual tests like MRI or EEG on me.

How does this guy still have his medical license?
Everything about this place: from scheduling an appointment, to getting labs or MRIs scheduled, to seeing the actual 'doctor'. He rushes you, sees you (total actual visit time is less than 5min)and cuts you off to get you out of there ASAP. These are people's lives and conditions we are talking about. Go find someone who will take the time of day to hear you out and try to find out whats wrong, not just your insurance and your money. I seriously can't believe this guy still practices even with all of his NEGATIVE reviews! Don't do it! Go elsewhere!

Was very cold. It was like he could care less. We’ll find someone who, at least seems to be concerned for my well being.

Doesn’t return phone calls
I have called three times in the last seven days leaving detailed messages for Dr. Torzala’s nurse practitioner to submit a prior authorization to my insurance company for prescription refills. I have yet to receive a call back. What kind of company doesn’t return phone calls.

Avoid at all costs
Torzala is a genuinely bad doctor. He does not listen to patients, prescribes unnecessary medication, and does not keep track of symptoms.

Ordered a head CT but never followed up with the Radiologist. I had my PCP take care of it. This guy is getting paid a very handsome salary, I shouldn't have to do his legwork for him.

Horrible experience. Did not even take a detailed case history. Was in and out in 5 minutes. I’ve had to wait 1 month between each test and visit. It has been a total of 4 months searching for answers. Do not recommend.

Horrible bed side manners. Failute to diagnose a terminal illness when it was literally in his face and under his nose. Quick to kick you to the curb and claim abuse if you question his lack of dilligence to order appropriate testing. If you're looking for a Neurologist I can not encourage you enough to stay away from this guy.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Torzala for the past 7 years. I’ve been early to every single appointment and like with all Dr’s appointments, I always get called in a good 15-30 minutes after the appointment time. Well, on my last appointment, I was 8 minutes late, was asked to fill out paperwork, they took my payment, only to be told shortly after that Dr Torzala got inpatient and decided to leave. I guess I was his last appointment of the day and he couldn’t wait 8 minutes as he was desperate to leave. Historically I’ve been lucky if he spends 5 minutes with me, so it’s not like the appointment was going to go long. He was very unprofessional and people need to know.

NO, I would never recommend sending anyone to Dr. Torzala, or to Phoenix Neurology and Sleep Medicine! I was seeing another doctor in this practice, but when she left, I was handed of to this guy. As I was in the middle of a 6 month period to see if my condition improved, I stayed. Check-up after check-up, i was treated very impersonally and with single word answers. Torzala's go to answer for most questions was to prescribe another medication. Finally, after my 6 month waiting period was over, I asked Torzala to place the order for re-imaging (MRA), to which he replied, "what do you want me to do about it, I don't know what you need. Call your neurosurgeon.". After about 3 weeks of go between his office, the neurosurgeon's office and my insurance, I gave up! Went back to my PCP, and she had the imaging ordered within 1.5 hours. Horrible front office and insurance billing as well!

Being a mom of special needs children , I have seen hundreds of doctors. This doctor by far took the prize for “Biggest Jerk” . My daughter broke down as soon as we left his office. Terrible bedside manner. His tone said : don’t have time for you and we were a nuisance. I was so disappointed in his attitude from the moment he walked in. Do not go to this Dr. I can put up with a lot but when a Dr. let’s your daughter leave their office with No hope and complete dispair - I draw the line.

The initial appointment seemed rushed, in and out. I thought this was normal because he only ordered a MRI. The next visit was the same, no explanation of the last test. And ordered another MRI which is not cheap, so after I got that MRI done he bluntly told me I might have MS. Then he directed me to a website about medication, and said he doesn’t know yet. So I did research and I think by simply asking me about my history such as car accidents or any contact sports I played would have gave him a direction to look, instead worst case scenario first thing. Like how ....

After waiting for Neurology Consult to get answers I was very disspointed with this docdtor. My initial consultation lasted maybe 15 minutes. The doctor seemed in a rush to get through with my appointment. He has terribel bedside manner, dismissive, un-empatethic and not a good listener. The doctor had his scrubs on and seemed like he was rushing to get out to do surgery or something more important than patient care. He rushed out of the room and I felt like I was left hanging. My husband accompanied me to the appointment and even he was in shock at the doctors approach. I justified his approach as many of us probably do, blaming the rush on patient load, however, all the appts seemed the same. I had a total of 3. Sometimes, an empathetic approach by the doctor can make all the difference. I decided to take my care and my money somewhere else.

Dr. torzala was extremely kind and took the time to calm me down as I suffer from panic attacks and was being seen for a follow up to a brain mri. For possible MS. His kindness , knowledge compassion and how he took the time to explain everything to me. Went in appt at. 10 with anxiety left at a 1. More test to come, but feel like I’m in the best hands with Dr torzala! Thank you! I would highly recommend him to anyone. Also follow up Wasn’t scheduled until end of nov and they fit me in same day.
