We monitor all reviews to ensure they comply with our guidelines and don’t include personal information, profanity, libel, defamation, harassment, obscenity or fraud.

Any reviews that are deemed fraudulent or violate our guidelines will be removed immediately.

All reviews are confirmed and audited before publication, and community members have the ability to flag inappropriate content for further review by our team.

Dr. Tierney is unprofessional. He does not return messages to patients. He does not communicate with his patients. He let a family member's kidney function worsen without doing anything about. How is a physician competent when knowing what a patient's kidney function levels are and then do "wait and see?" Is that right? Would anyone be satisfied with this kind of treatment?

Ten years with Dr. Daniel Tierney
Ten years ago, my primary physician sent me to an excellent nephrologist (in his professional opinion) Dr. Daniel Tierney. Over the past decade, I have seen Dr. Tierney at least once per year. Every appointment with him was highly professional, very precise, and systematic. He took the time to make sure that I fully understood his diagnosis or position, thoroughly answered my questions, and made me feel that my health was the only thing that mattered. I have recommended Dr. Tierney to a friend who is now a very satisfied patient of Dr. Tierney.

Excellent Nephrologist
It's been my experience that Dr. Tierney is one of the best at his profession. He is a researcher and an educator and willing to spend as must time as is necessary for you to understand your condition and what you and he both can do to improve your health and kidney function. I am very pleased to have him as part of my medical team!

My husband is experiencing serious health issues and it is frustrating that Dr. Tierney has not returned his phone calls at extremely serious junctures in his care (twice before upcoming surgical procedures.) Additionally it took my inquiring about my husband seeing a renal dietitian to get any information from Dr. Tierney's office about renal diets. Nutrition advice for kidney patients should be essential. Find another nephrologist . Not impressed with Dr. Tierney at all.
