Broken Ankle Repair
Broken ankle in two places. Dr. Segina introduced himself in such a way that I knew I had the right doctor. His mannerisms plus the feeling that all the other medical professionals there to support the operation were at such ease with him that I really felt I had a team working for me. After the operation, Doctor Segina went to my husband and took the time to satisfy all of his concerns and answer all of his questions. We highly recommend Doctor Segina as well as his support team at Holmes Regional Medical Center Was this a Telehealth appointment? No

I had a Hip Fracture that was not healing. Dr. Segina’s approach was to replace implants and stimulate the body's ability to heal with T-Cell application. His approach was successful, and I am now able to walk again without the need for a full Hip replacement. Dr. Segina and his Staff are outstanding.

Dr. Segina SHOULD be your choice for any traumatic bone crushing injury. I was air-lifted unconscious from a head-on collision & I found out later that amputating my leg below the knee (as the ankle was shattered into approx. 20+ shards) was a consideration. I needed a fasciotomy on my lower leg, plus had a broken tibia (bone came out through skin right above my shattered ankle joint) & a broken fibula in 2 places. Dr. Segina decided he could save my awkwardly positioned/flopped foot & lower leg (leg was white/colorless & basically dead from lack of blood flow). After numerous surgeries over 3.5 years (which included 3 plates, 21 screws & a bone graft) I followed all his orders, did all PT appts & trusted his advise. Today there is nothing I cannot do & to see me, you would have no idea whatsoever that anything was ever wrong with me thanks to this amazing man! Dr. Segina is so very talented & caring with a great bedside manner. TRUST THIS BRILLIANT SURGEON. He will not disappoint! A+

While on duty as a motorcycle policeman for Vero Beach, I was in a serious accident. Dr. Segina put my left knee back together requiring numerous plates and screws. Also a crushing injury of my right wrist also requiring numerous screws. That was October 15, 2004. Dr. Segina even though he did a fabulous job thought that before I turn 60, I would need a new knee based on my injuries. Happy to say without a new knee, I am now 61 and started running again. Thank you Dr. for your excellent care.

Excellent surgeon! I was left with a very serious wrist break from a car accident about 3 years ago. Doctor Segina did an incredible job! It's been 3 years post-op and I am living life with proper use of my wrist again. Considering how bad the break was, that's amazing.Trusting a surgeon can be very stressful and scary, but I can say with full confidence that Dr. Segina is superb. Highly recommend

Dr. Segina took care of both my ankles and left thigh, after a car wreck. After several weeks of therapy, I was walking. Here, 3 1/2 yrs later, I am walking, literally, everywhere, and working as a cashier, with no pain.

Dr. Segina treated me like I was a close friend even though we never had met before. His confidence along with his sincere concern for my well being gave me the confidence going forward into the surgery. The surgery involved total titanium radial head replacement including the insertion of a plate and ten screws. The surgery was an overwhelming success. Dr Segina also took time out to research and find me a top notch traumatic Orthopedic Surgeon in my Suburb of New York for follow up care.
