A Disappointment of a Doctor
Telehealth
Dr. Park strung me along for months prescribing drug after drug and nothing has worked. He did not seem to care at all that my pain was excruciating. He did not have a treatment plan. I had to initiate every test and medication adjustment. I was leery of this doctor from the beginning and I should have trusted my instincts. Save yourself time and pain and find someone better. He sets the bar pretty low. What a pathetic excuse for a doctor.

If you are in chronic pain, read below!
My original pain clinic was closing, I was instructed to go to my primary for assistance. I did. Made an appointment with dr. Park at pain center in Dartmouth. When I called to confirm, I specifically asked if he was taking new patients that need management of my pain meds. Answer: yes. I waited 4 mos for appointment. When I arrived,Dr park said we don’t take people from other clinics nor people who don’t have south coast connections. I was gutted. Wasted 4 mos.he didn’t even look at my medical chart. What goes down comes around. Shame on Dr. Park for not showing that he even cared. Ironically, Dr. Park is A CHRONIC PAIN PATIENT HIMSELF. shame shame

Very Uncaring
Dr. Park was very rude and would not make eye contact with me the whole time I was in his office. I felt as if he was irritated that I was even referred to him for care. I was extremely upset after I left his office and felt the whole thing was a waste of his time (and mine). I will not be returning. I did want to mention that his office staff was lovely and treated me kindly and with respect.

He does not treat patients in pain
Dr. Park is by far the worst doctor I have ever experienced in my whole life! Southcoust assigned me to this doctor after my MRI indicated that I had an awful herniated disc that required immediate surgery. The surgery was 2 to three weeks out. Our first visit was awful. He had no empathy, wouldn’t listen to anything I said, and only prescribed meaningless, anti-inflammatories and muscle relaxants. I called him in awful pain days after. He took days to respond and wouldn’t listen to my concerns and didn’t prescribe me any pain meds. I ended up going to the ER in excruciating pain. The doctor on call was in disbelief at his lack of ethics and immediately gave me intravenous morphine. She also gave me a three day supply of pain meds. That’s all she could give, her hands were tied due to opioid epidemic regulations. The board should remove his license immediately. You people should avoid him like the plague!

Angry Patient in Pain – Jun 10, 2023

Pain management
First visit found Dr very rude and degrading. I cried all night and still cry thinking about how he spoke to me. I really don't want to see him again. I've suffered with pain for several years and have never been treated like this. Didn't want to listen to me or understand what I go through just trying to live as normal a life with as little pain as possible. People with chronic pain should not have to suffer especially elderly. I will try to see if I can find another Dr with some compassion.

would definitely not recommend
It was a nightmare. He was rude, did not listen, was demeaning. I canceled my next appointment with him. He seemed to have no interest in practicing medicine, let alone care about patients. I agree with all the other reviewers who gave him a one. Is there no minus one? Then I got the bill and see that my insurance was charged $520.00 for this "visit". WHAATTT????

I've a wonderful and compassionate Pain Management DR, thankfully. However, had an opportunity to go to Dr Parks given his location was near home. After my one and only visit returned to my original DR. Ive had 4 failed back surgeries so chose 10 yrs ago to be treated medically vs the epidural, invasive procedure, repeat surg route. From the start, Dr Parks treated me poorly; so, never returned nor would ever recommend him. Should work as an anesthesiologist vs w/people in pain.

Worse bed side manner that I have ever seen in a Dr. He does not do a thorough examination ie: iwhen testing for resistance he is barely touching you. Rude with no empathy. Does not take time to listen to you and found him insulting.

My appointment with Dr Park was horrible, I brought my records in from another Dr I was seeing for my pain management for well over a year only reason I still wasn't seeing the other Dr was because of an insurance change, Dr Park did not take the time too look at the records at all, he was uncaring and in a rush I'm gathering so now I'm in and out of the hospital with pain and looking for another Dr for pain management,I'm thinking South Coast needs too replace some Dr's with some who care.

I was just reading reviews and I’m wondering if these people are talking about the same Daniel Park that I see! I’ve been going to Dr Park for quite some time. I’ve never waited more than 5 minutes to get called in. The office staff and nurses are very nice and very polite. I never feel rushed. Dr Park answers and explains every question I ask. I find him to be very professional and caring. I wasn’t sure how I felt at my very first appointment but I didn’t know him and he didn’t know me.

Doctors are human and any one of them can have a bad day. But my repeated experience is that Dr. Park does not have genuine concern for his patients, at least not for elderly patients like me. Since it is difficult to change pain doctors these days, due to suspicions of opioid abuse, one should choose one's pain management doctor more carefully than I did. Would not recommend for anyting trickier than steroid injections either.
