Disappointed
I saw Dr. Nadeau a total of three times, each visit no more than 5 minutes with the doctor. He did a nasal endoscopy twice, and the final time he tried I said no. He provided no information as to why I had been suffering from chronic head pain. I had to request an order for a CT Scan, which I found odd. He prescribed medicine and when I had a reaction, he said there was nothing more he could give me. I was stunned. I called my GP who referred me elsewhere and I found a kind, caring, compassionate ENT who took the time to explain what was going on and provide me with solutions. This is a chronic condition, but I finally have an answer as to what it is and how to solve it. I would not recommend this doctor.

Seemed like a nice gut to me
I can't really speak to his medical acumen, since I'm a layman and I've only seen him once so far on a routine matter. But regarding forms of address, when he called me "Sir." I admit, it did make me feel a bit old, though otherwise he seemed very nice. Then I saw in his profile that he had been a Navy physician. Many military personnel say "sir" and "ma'am" automatically. It's actually a sign of respect. I used to do that, as well, until one woman asked me not to call her "ma'am," so I stopped. Maybe just raise the issue with him and he'll do the same.

First I explained to Dr. Nadeau several years’ history with chronic rhinitis affliction. As I spoke, he kept hurrying me along impatiently. Then without explaining what he was going to do, he took out a thin tube and stuck it into my nose. I now know this is called a nasal endoscopy. As it went higher up the process became distinctly unpleasant. I pulled away. On my questioning him, it turned out that the tube needed to go three times higher than it had gone for him to see my nasal and sinus passages, a point he never made at the beginning. In fact, that information already existed. I am struck by another reviewer saying that he had done a nasal endoscopy on her husband and it had been quite painful. It’s not something you can do without some preliminary discussion. Above all, though, throughout my consultation I had the sense he was struggling to keep anger under control. I've never had that experience with a doctor before.

I am 46. This doctor is 45. He called me ma’am about 20 times during my 20 minute visit. I wanted to scream, “I have a name and I am not 106. Please do not call me ma’am.” Who trained this guy? If my tinnitus turns out to be a chronic problem, in spite of the fact that I think he was thorough (although he offered allergy testing to me and my children which I thought was odd), his demeanor made me feel very uneasy, and I am not sure I would go back. The office called me to schedule a follow up only a few days later and I had not even had the MRI yet, so I sense they are trying to fill his light schedule based on these reviews.

I have been a patient of this practice for many years and am happy with the care. Dr Nadeau knows what he doing, but his chairside manner leaves a lot to be desired. I've never been called "M'am" so many times in 15 minutes. I don't know of any woman under 80 yrs old who wants to be called that. He often seems annoyed or distracted. I haven't encountered this with any of the original doctors in the practice. I hope that in time, he can learn to relax and become more personable.

I saw Dr. Nadeau for vertigo and he was extremely proactive in his treatment. He may not be warm and fuzzy, but he was thorough and was able to determine what was causing the issue.

My husband had chronic nose bleeds and sinus problems. Dr. Nadeau introduced himself with "you're nose is too big. You need a rhinoplasty." Um... that's not why we're here. He did a hearing test and a nasal endoscopy (very painful!) before telling us nothing is wrong. He had poor bedside manner and shooed my husband out the door with a pamphlet on "How to treat nose bleeds." We received a $500 bill for "surgery" (endoscopy). 1- this was a diagnostic procedure and 2- we never consented.
