Needed a second opinion!
I came in about my right knee and by the time I left was scheduled for a hip replacement. My hip and left knee have been compromised due to my right knee, but the right knee gave me the most pain and trouble. This was all done with the PA and not Doctor Martin. I was given cortisone shots but no option for PT. I canceled the surgery and switched doctors. New Doctor thinks the right knee is indeed the main issue. Was given cortisone shots and physical therapy which is helping and can delay surgery. Hip surgery is now on the back burner. Not pleased with my visit!

Dr. Martin replaced both hips without incident, and, offered very good post surgery care. He is professional and makes you feel that he is concerned about your medical health. I always felt confident in his care.

Followed up with Dr. Martin after an emergency room visit at Mercy Hospital. I had a torn ACL in my knee and a fracture on my tibia. At no time was my knee ever x rayed to see healing progress. At my first visit my brace given to me by the hospital was tossed aside by Dr. Martin even though I told him my knee was unstable. I had to go to Walgreens to find a brace on my own since he did not provide me with another brace. I was so disturbed by the care I received I had to find a new doctor.

Had knee replacement with Dr. Martin, and the whole experience was as good as it gets for this type of surgery. My recovery was very smooth, with pain being manageable while in the hospital, and minimal within days of release from the hospital. I could not have expected a better outcome. Dr. Martin is an excellent surgeon and is also very good about explaining the procedure and answering questions. His PA and office staff are excellent.
