Among the best physicians I've had over the years
Dr. Lowe is an excellent, knowledgeable physician. He keeps up with the latest research and practice in urology. His experience and humane interactions with me, are among the best I've had with any doctor in my experience. He listed to me, answered all my questions and explained all the pros and cons of my treatment. I recommend him highly.

Office is VERY UNCOOPERATIVE! Avoid this office
If this is how they treat you when you are looking to become a patient, you will be stuck with this mindset after you have surgery! I want to get second opinions of what other BPH surgeries might be best for me. I'm not looking for a diagnosis from Dr Lowe without having a visit, I just asked what BPH surgeries he performs regularly. He is on a list as a Rezum surgeon, but I want to see another doctor that performs Rezum and other procedures so I can have an unbiased recommendation. They said the surgical coordinator and the doctor will not answer this question. I must make an appointment just to find out what procedures he regularly performs. No other doctor has done this. Someone in the office always tells me what surgeries they perform - not specifically that it is for my situation. This doctor is several hours away roundtrip and I'm not being forced into an appt just to get a 1 minute answer.

I first went to Dr. Lowe nearly three years ago and a biopsy confirmed that I had prostate cancer. In these three years, Dr. Lowe has been an amazingly caring Doctor, who listened to my every question, calmed my every concern and walked with me on this path of active surveillance until my time came to make a decision about surgery. My trust in him is absolute and my surgery was three weeks ago. My recovery has been nothing short of miraculous. I cannot recommend him highly enough. This is a man who truly cares about his patients.

Dr. Lowe's cautious but non-alarmist treatment of what turned out to be my prostate cancer, combined with his knowledge, thoroughness and friendly/accessible manner were spectacular. He guided me to a non-invasive/low side-effect treatment for my cancer (HIFU) last February; recent (Oct 2016) testing showed I do not have cancer anymore. Dr. Lowe will be guiding my vigilent watch to ensure there is no recurrence over the next years...and I can't think of anyone I'd rather have by my side.

Keeps an open mind with regards to the patient: considers all factors prior to recommending a procedure, lists ALL pros and cons, gives the patient the utmost respect whether or not the patient either agrees or disagrees with treatment.
