Dr. Daniel Long, DO

Dr Long is a very kind and caring doctor. I have recommended him to a few friends with MS who love him also. I have seen many doctors during the 30 years I have had MS. Dr Long is at the top of my list of neurologists. He takes all the time needed to explain things well and to listen to all of my concerns. He asks my husband and I several times throughout my visits if we have any questions. He offers options for treatment but doesn’t push anything that I’m not comfortable with. He explains them all very well and runs tests for any concerns that may be associated with any of them. He is very caring, compassionate, friendly, respectful, kind, thorough and knowledgeable. I’m also happy that he has this much knowledge and experience at a younger age. I hope he’s in my area for many years to come. I hope this helps others. Thank you.

I was able to preregister for appt with ease. I arrived on time for my appt and reviewed insurance info etc. staff was extremely polite and welcoming. I went back to pt room within 5minutes where I spoke with RN. She completed her part and Dr Long came in to complete my visit. Everyone was friendly and professional. Very timely and a great experience. Hats off to the staff at Neuroscience (Racine St location)

He actually listens to the patient makes sure he answers all your questions

Dr Long is a very caring, patient provider. He took the time to listen and answer any questions I had. Worked with me as a team to decide what the best treatment options were for me, both medically and what I was comfortable with. Would highly recommend him as a neurologist.

I have appreciated Dr. Long's knowledge, patience, demeanor, and thoroughness in his treatment of my MS and in the navigation of choosing a different MS medication (due to unfortunate side effects of the medication I had been taking). Dr. Long clearly had made himself aware of my medical history relative to MS prior to our initial meeting, and in successive communications/meetings he continued to clearly focus on the issues for which I was consulting him. He appears to value establishing a meaningful medical relationship with his patients and treating his patients as unique and respected individuals. I am grateful to have found him.

My experience with Dr. Long was excellent. He is very knowledgeable and took the time to explain things to me concerning my stroke. He took all the proper steps necessary to pinpoint why I had the stroke and was very reassuring and kind. This all made me feel great!
