Follow Up: Compassion & Skill pre-op; op; and post
POST-SURGERY UPDATE: I cannot add to previous review, thus, this report. Surgery @ Adventist Hospital proceeded well. Dr. Khalil's surgical team included multiple med-techs, nurses, and a rather high-spirited anesthesiologist (she was 'a hoot'). Pre-op prep was comprehensive and well organized @ Kaiser's different Bakersfield facilities (Stockdale; Ming; Chester Ave.). Dr. Khalil responded to my RATHER PRONOUNCED STRESS by prescribing a VERY short course anti-anxiety medicine. There was a 90 minute delay before 'my turn'--something to be expected. I was unconscious before the 'hoot' anesthetist doctor finished explaining what would happen. Despite MANY 'consent forms' warning me that 'you could die...', I had total faith in: Dr. Khalil, his staff, the hospital, and the procedure itself. Nurses YESENIA and NANCY (Exemplary Nurse Clinicians) were rendered extraordinary care both pre-op and post-op. I retain my trust and appreciation for Dr. Khalil and his staff.
