Dr. Daniel Haggstrom, MD

I’m appalled by the lack of bedside manner from an oncologist that deals with serious conditions on a daily basis. I personally messaged him to say not to tell my father there was no hope for him yet he did it anyway in the most grotesque way possible. He said he treats people with chemo and there’s nothing he could do for my father so he can’t help him. I know that was honest but again I didn’t want that said to him and messaged him specifically to avoid that conversation. Then he continued on about how it’s going to be getting a lot worse so he’ll need hospice, not sure why he had to state the obvious but again he kept going and said what I think was the most repulsive and it went like this… “so my attempt at humor if there could be any at this time”.. no dr haggstron, there’s no need for humor at this time…. “now you get to fire all of your doctors”. So unprofessional. Please don’t treat anyone else like this, learn from your mistakes.

He treats me as if I am the only patient he has and his follow up is meaningful.

Professionally excellent; personally a kind and respectful physician. Always well prepared and open to discussion. His focus is the whole person; not just the specific cancer at hand.
