I switched drs for ECT procedure and Dr D’Andrea had a great conversation with me and performed E CT today I am very please with him and the staff??

Someone very close to me recently underwent ECT at CentraState under Dr D'Andrea's supervision. After an initial consultation in which it was stated the number of treatments varies by patient, depending on their progress, she decided to proceed. She was never told how many treatments she would undergo or even the criteria to make that evaluation. She was just given dates for the procedure. Dr. D' Andrea did not communicate with her preceding or following any of the treatments. ECT is a procedure that creates seizures in your brain, yet she never received one call after any of the procedures to check on how she was feeling or any questions that could have been used as an assessment as to whether to proceed as scheduled. She was just given a three day a week schedule. This continued until she finally experienced a heart arrhythmia during the procedure. However she was cleared after seeing a cardiologist, even before all of the coronary testing was completed. She opted out!

Dr D'Andrea is a kind, caring, and responsive geriatric psychiatrist who is genuinely expert in all clinical aspects of care. An excellent practitioner!

I just can't say enough good things about Dr. D'Andrea !! I first met him while I was in CentraState hospital after having an anxiety attack related to a recent Pacemaker implant. He is so very caring and reassuring that I immediately felt comfortable and knew at that point that I have him provide for my care going forward as might be necessary. So thank you very much !!

Dr. D'Andrea is amazing. He is gentle, kind, brilliant and has the ability to make you feel that you can manage anything instead of letting your illness manage you. He gives me the will to fight and persevere. A great listener, a great diagnostician. I can't say enough about this wonderful doctor.
