Awesome Doctor!
Went for 2nd opinion, which was confirmed by 3rd opinion. Very pleasant doctor, good explanations, exam and overall experience. I’m glad I went for 2nd opinion (and 3rd one to confirm the 2nd)

Money maker quack
DO NOT GO UNDER THE CARE OF THIS PHYSICIAN! He will not give you ANY after care instructions, I had no idea what to do after surgery or how to care for my wounds. He has the worst bed side manner I've ever experienced in a physician or medical professional for that matter. And that says a lot. I went to the emergency room post op for severe pain and he was more worried about clearing his name from any wrong doing then he was about my actual care. Once he thought his job was done he could care less about you as a human being. He even stated ALOUD 'Gallbladders are huge money makers for insurance companies' which should be enough to put any doctor out of business! When I cried to this doctor about how bad my pain was after ripping a stitch he said 'well surgery is like doing 50 sit ups, it hurts but you'll be fine' and proceeded to ask if I'm taking psychiatric meds because I shouldn't be crying over surgery pain. Another doctor heard and came in and APOLOGIZED for his behavior!

No empathy
Dr. Conway gave my 90 year old father hernia surgery. Weeks later he was still in pain. We tried calling Dr. Conway, but could never speak to him. His scheduler told us the soonest he could get us in was in two weeks. I ended up taking my dad to the ER because he was in excruciating pain. They said he had a hernia. I left a message for Dr. Conway telling him what happened and he called me back. He said he thought my dad went to the ER because he wanted to speed up his appointment. I was shocked. Dr. Conway’s tone was flat out rude. We found a compassionate doctor in Evanston who performed repair surgery the next day and my dad recovered well. No thanks to Dr. Conway.

Worst surgeon I’ve ever visited in my life!
A total nightmare doctor. I had a cyst removal done by this surgeon. The surgeon repeatedly claimed it would be a small nothing over and done with in no time. I have multiple special needs, at any other hospital when I request general anesthesia for a procedure I get it, if they don't accept my request the first time by the time I get to my second or third phone call which is essentially a legal demand letter they do it with my demanded anesthesia. This guy, he had instead given me authority to use heavier doses of my medicines than ordered by my provider. My primary care provider was not amused, I had a horribly traumatic surgery experience and he gave me zero post operative care instructions which resulted in the wound reopening and bleeding requiring an ED wound management visit. This doctor is a grade A flunk! I am astonished how he still has a job at what's supposed to be a leading hospital. Do us all a favor, RETIRE instead of taking month long vacations!

I was very nervous and concerned about my emergency appendicitis surgery and appreciate Dr. Conway putting me at ease by just talking to me for a couple of minutes before the surgery. Went to see Dr. Conway post surgery and again appreciate him talking to me about the surgery without my feeling he was in a hurry to leave/too busy to talk to me.

After being diagnosed with breast cancer, Dr Conway performed a mastectomy (and did a beautiful job- if that can be said). Twice I made last minute appointments and both times the staff got me in to see him. One such appointment was at 5pm and the doctor was gracious. He makes every effort to explain procedures and treatment options. His intuition and expertise were proved by follow up tests, which confirmed his diagnoses.
