Dr. Chin was very knowledgeable about my health history and provided good guidance on my health regimen. He was very kind and understanding.

1 star only because 0 star was available. Dr. C is out of touch with the reality of accessing mental health services. He is insensitive and very condescending. He could use a crash course in socio-economic barriers to MH care. He should as a physician, be cognizant of the whole human being. It is proven that that medical wellness is directly connected to mental health wellness. Instead of discrediting pts saying that they are "not trying hard enough, or just aren't making an effort to find MH care," you should be helping to break barriers, not be one. Your own experience doesn't matter. Rule #1, meet the pt where they are at. Privilege is not afforded to everyone. As the first point of contact for patients, if a pt is asking for MH care, pro-tip, you took an oath to do no harm. Doc, you know the body keeps the score. Educate yourself. Empathy is imperative. Tunnel vision poorly reflects on your ability to treat the whole pt as a human being. Your personal judgements suck. Do better.

After 5 trips to Dr Chin complaining of a sore throat over the course of 18 months, and no tests of any kind, I found out I had throat cancer from a different Dr. Dr Chin would have let me die of cancer rather than do his job. Not sure why people would say he listens to them. I will say he is quick to order pain meds. At least I would have been comfortable while I waited to die.

Dr. Chin was my first primary care physician in about 10 years. I had developed major depressive disorder and other mental health problems. This quack put me on antidepressants and when they didn't work and I wanted to try something different, he wrote me a script for another antidepressant and didn't tell me about a washout period or stopping the previous med before starting the new one. I then called the office back to let them knew this last med made me feel horrible and they blew me off.
