Performed an excellent surgery for my cataracts on both my eyes. Everyone in the surgical unit, pre- and post-operative were extremely professional and answered all my questions about the procedure. I could not be more pleased with the way the surgery proceeded and the final results. I highly recommend this office for cataract surgery!

From the evaluation to my last cataract surgery, the staff in the office and surgery center are top notch. Very professional and you can tell they love their job, especially the nurses that get you ready for surgery.I would recommend Dr. Damon Welch or Dr. Daniel Welch, he dud my follow-up appts, for cataract surgery to anyone.

Nothing but high praise for this doctor and his team. They cared for my son's diabetic eye condition, so I followed them for my cataract surgery. The entire team is curteous and helpful, as well as proficient and efficient. Dr. Welch did my surgery and I no longer need glasses. He's quiet, but very precise and engaged. A high-detail guy with a commitment to excellent outcomes. Highly recommended.

Great doctor and the facility

I can honestly say I never felt more comfortable about my surgeries after having my evaluations by Dr. Damon Welch! He did two surgeries for me this year! Cataract surgery in August and then Eye lid surgery in December. I highly recommend him for all your ophthalmology issues and concerns!

The surgery on my eyes was for my cataracts, everything was excellent. I now see 20/20, thank you so much!

From the moment you arrive for your first visit and on you are greeted by very friendly people. It is like a nice big family. Damon is a great Dr. I was so thankful that h was able to do what he does. I now have 20/20 vision in both eye for the first time since I have been 8 years old. Waiting for hours , 3 appt's first was over 4 hours at the office, lots of testing but test only consumed maybe 35-40 minutes, Saw Dr Welch who spent 5minutes with me rest of time sitting and waiting. Second appt sat for 4 hours waiting for surgery, cost the whole day. Called office 4-5 times after surgery with only recordings and promise of call back. Nothing! Finally got a call from Dr Welch, a week after surgery, would see him for follow-up 4 months after surgery. Today was follow-up appt, sat for 2 hours , had a couple test done which were not really needed since I had them 4 months ago and nothing has changed with my vision, so that is how I spent a day of my life sitting and waiting. Would not go back.

Dr. Damon Welch and his staff were excellent! Crystal, Wendy, Julie, Amna, and Cassi walked me through my cataract surgeries pleasantly and professionally. Kayla, Marjorie, and Lidia were extremely helpful and reliable when I needed assistance filing insurance claims for reimbursement. David and Jesse (2 males nurses) were great in the OR (at least, I think that’s their names…I was happy in my twilight state!) It was an overall great experience and I recommend this group to anyone needing cataract surgery

Dr. Damien Welch took an oath to care for patients and to not inflict any harm. He is more concerned about padding his wallet. He provides substandard care. Furthermore, some of the staff are rude and inept, and don't expect an apology for any mistakes that they or Dr. Welch make.

Dr Welch was very forthcoming and honest about my eye health and procedures. He had done my cataract surgeries and now I need blepharoplasty (eyelid lift) surgery. I trust him completely and highly recommend this whole group/practice. Everyone in the office from front staff to Carolyn and Astride the Opthalmic Assistants, Anna who did my testing, Bridgette who assisted with Dr. Welch and Cassidy my Surgety Coordinator were very kind, caring, helpful and super friendly! They deserve 10 stars!

Eye surgery? Scary thought! I researched eye doctors in my insurance network. I was very happy when Dr. Mark Sevigny issued a referral to Dr. Damon Welch of Eye Specialists of Mid Florida to remove the cataracts that had developed in my eyes. The fact that Dr. Welch has performed tens of thousands of these procedures was VERY reassuring! On my evaluation visit I found a professional environment on every level. The facilities look like new and the technology is leading edge. Doctors Damon Welch and Daniel Welch and every member of their staff I came into contact with were easy to talk to and behaved in a professional manner. I do not hesitate to recommend this facility if you need treatments of this type!

I recently reviewed Dr. Welch Sr. I had no idea father & son were doctors at the practice. I was scheduled w/Damon from Dr. Patail /Haines City to rule out carcinoma. Extremely stressful going into the apt. After over 1 hr wait he walked in without introducing himself. Looked at my eyes, squished them said something to the tech and started walking out. I asked “anything of concern” his reply “we will talk about that”. He never returned. I waited over another hour over 2.5 total. His father came in w/out introducing himself. Was extremely rude and dismissive because I had no driver and live an hour away & declined dilation. He Never explained anything but said he can’t do surgery because I declined. I questioned what surgery he was talking about. It was the absolute worst experience by 2 surgeons I have ever encountered. Every patient deserves care, attention and respect. I left in tears and still have no answers about my serious eye condition. I would never recommend either Dr. Welch.

I went in for the right eye and everyone was so wonderful to me. When taken into the surgical area the nurses were so great and they helped me through the time until I was ready to be moved into surgery. Still everyone was so nice and I must say during this pandemic every step was taken to keep me and themselves safe. I was told I could possibly see colors while they worked on my eye..and I do remember seeing an array of beautiful colors but.. I remember nothing else..felt nothing and next thing I knew I was awake, given instructions and on my way home. During the times up to my surgery Dr. Welch was precise, professional and kind. He answered all of my questions and never got annoyed that I was scared or still asking questions. I had my second eye done a week ago and the same things occurred. Kindness, professionalism, safety, caring. Best of all I can see !! I was seeing 1000 times better the same day of my surgery. A week later …magnificent!! There just isn’t anyone else I

I went in for cataracts surgery, paid out of pocket for everything up front, was told that he can't promise perfect vision, but would notice a difference; he was right, I'm now blind in my eye. His dad did the surgery. I called two days after a corrective laser surgery (after the first cataracts 4 weeks earlier) and was brought in immediately. I was told to call if the vision returned and then asked to to see their retina specialist in two weeks if my vision improved. I'm blind in my eye now, why would I keep throwing thousands of dollars out of pocket? I'm blind and wish I'd gone to Orlando for this "simple procedure."

Dr Welch provided excellent care to my husband before, during and after his surgery. He is very detailed and noticed a spot that he recommended be removed and it turned out to be cancerous. Recommend Dr Welch highly and his staff.

Outstanding

Dr. Damon Welch performed cataract surgery on my right eye and corrected it for "near perfect" distance vision. A week later he performed surgery on my left eye and corrected it for "normal' close vision. Both surgeries went well and the results were excellent!!!! I would definitely recommend Eye Specialists of Mid Florida and Dr. Damon Welch.
