The most experienced, knowledgable psychiatrist
Dr. Tohtz was my doc when he worked at the VA. I have pretty severe PTSD & used to have a very bad heroin addiction. Not only did he help me before I got clean but he was the one who made me realize I had a problem & challenged me to change. I got clean directly due to his assistance. With his help, I was able to break through the walls of addiction. He really challenged me to better myself, in such a precise way that I'm so sad he left the VA. He actually listened & didn't respond with automatic answers-- he would challenge any incorrect belief I had, showing me I had more power than I thought. It was hard work but it was all worth it & absolutely couldn't have done what I have without Dr. Tohtz's help. Now I have remained clean for going on 13 years, I have an amazing relationship with my kids, am married to a wonderful man, we have owned a beautiful home in a beautiful, historic neighborhood for over five years & . None of this would have been possible without Dr. Tohtz's help.
