Dr. Dale Reed, MD

I had previously worked in the ER at Hamilton Medical Center and was familiar with the physicians in the area. I fell in Maine when my dog pulled me down and after an MRI and orthopedic evaluation in Maine I contacted Dr. Reed for further evaluation and management of issues with my arm. After a period of time Dr. Reed did surgery to release trapped nerves in my wrist and elbow. He did not rush me into having surgery, which I truly appreciated! He explained everything thoroughly and was extremely kind and understanding. He is an amazing Orthopedist with an excellent bedside manner. The issues I had resolved and I can highly recommend Dr. Reed! He is an excellent physician.

Dr Reed came highly recommended by 2 people and I felt at ease with him from the start. Knowledgeable and professional, he was thorough and patiently answered all my questions and concerns. His team is also very good. I had surgery performed by Dr Reed and my progress has been great. I don’t always feel comfortable around doctors but he has a great ability to work with patients. Highly recommended.

Dr. Reed is my hero. After 2 years of treatments and suffing with a pain in my knee and lower leg after a work injury, treated by two orthopedic doctors and months of physical therapy without relief . On my first visit with Dr. Reed he said we will find what is causing this pain. Scheduled an appointment to have a nurve conduction test, which I had not had done before. There it was a constricted nurve. He explained what he could do to free up the nurve and answered all questions I had about the surgery. I woke up from surgery without the pain I carried for over 2 years. I was treated as if I was his only patient, which made me feel important. Two months without that pain is a dream come true.

Dr. Reed has been awesome. I had a very painful frozen shoulder and he performed successful surgery. Now my pain is greatly reduced (and related to healing not the original condition), and I am clearly on the path to a great recovery. I recommend Dr. Reed and the AOSM practice.

Dr. Reed is an excellent surgeon. He has been the surgeon for my last 5 knee surgeries. He was honest with me about the procedures and the recovery process for each surgery. He is a highly skilled surgeon. He continuously checked on me throughout my recovery progress. I would recommend Dr. Reed to anyone needing knee surgery or any orthopedic surgery.

Dr. Reed treated me Tuesday before Thanksgiving after I smashed my right middle finger that required 5 stitches. My primary doctor sent me to Dr. Reed to make sure the finger was not fractured. He had performed a hip replacement on me in 2014 so I already knew his wonderful skills as a surgeon plus his awesome, unique bedside manner. His office is so organized and appointments are held in a most timely manner. Whenever I go to his office, I always take my iPad to read but never get a full page read at any one sitting. Thank you, Dr. Reed, for your excellent care and knowledge!!!

Dr. Reed was great on my pre-surgery, surgery and post-surgery care. His support and willingness to answer questions was incredible and he made me very comfortable with the whole process. He and his team at AOSM were great!

I was in a work related accident in April of last year. Dr. Reed repaired my "Shattered" wrist with emergency surgery, plates screws etc. It has now been a year and I have healed. He was so fun and reassuring during a very scary time. Since it was in the middle of COVID I was alone. He came into my room and calmed my nerves, showed me pictures of his kids and made me feel at peace.

Dr. Reed is an amazing Doctor and Surgeon in todays world especially. He takes the time to know the person and to make them feel at ease. He explains what it looks like your condition is and the options for treatment in a language you can understand. He is down to earth but exceptionally capable! He took time to help someone who has an extreme fear of needles get past that and feel comfortable with him treating them. He is everything a doctor/surgeon should be! Everyone we have talked to that he treated has recommended him!

I had a total Shoulder replacement My deepest appreciation goes out to Dr Reed. My shoulder is total pain free and fully mobile. I am a triathlete and now can enjoy my sport agin. I recommend Dr Reed 100% He and his staff at AOSM are the best. So caring and professional. Thank you Sir!!

Dr. Reed is one of the most down to earth people that you will meet. He and I had open discussion about my shoulder problems and options on how to fix them. Surgery went great and I am grateful for his service.

My son had a terrible ATV accident. He was rushed into Emergency Surgery with a broken Tib and Fib the same night with Dr. Reed as his physician. Dr. Reed was exceptional, honest and very patient. Dr. Reed followed through with 11 months of PT and aftercare for my 11 YO. I would recommend Dr. Reed 10/10.

I visited Dr. Dale “Nick” Reed for consultation of my severe carpal tunnel event. He explained my need for surgery to alleviate the pain I was experiencing nearly every morning, and gave a confident and positive diagnosis of my future surgical procedure. He performed my surgery quickly and thoroughly. I returned home within 5 hours, total. The procedure took less than 15-20 minutes. I highly recommend Dr. Reed to anyone considering this type of operation on the hands. I will return to him if I need my other hand’s nerves repaired. Dr. Reed is compassionate, approachable and friendly, as well as highly professional.

I first meet Dr. Reed after having an initial Dr didn't do his job right. Dr. Reed stepped up to help me out. He was kind, considerate and extremely friendly and helpful. He made me comfortable because he always ensured that there was another female in the room. Dr. Reed's knowledge to my health issues and what he recommended helped me make the right decision towards my health. I would highly recommend Dr. Reed to anyone who has the privilege of meeting him.
