Dr. Dakshina Walgampaya, MD

Definitely put me and my set of challenges in the high attention box. Most definitely put his best foot forward and open for discussions, open minded yet safe alternatives and reviewed by him before passing non researched ideas along.

I am a Type 2 Diabetes patient. On my first visit the interaction with the nurse wasn't great, but I chalked that up to personality. On the second visit, an intern doctor entered the room and her first statement was... so you are recently diagnosed with Diabetes? I have had the disease for 24 years, which was an indication she had not read my chart. It was a follow-up to my previous visit for medication to be prescribed. We talked, he prescribed the medication on September 5, 2023. As of today (17 days later) I have not received any medication. I was forced to call his office after my pharmacy said the insurance company had sent over prior authorization to his office, the nurse reached out on Monday... asked me how many mlgs I needed? It was not written in my chart. Too many errors, and excuses Dr. W seems like a nice enough fellow, but nice is not what is needed to deal with sick patients. His response was also full of excuses instead of inquiring about my wellbeing.

Dr, Walgampaya has not responded to my request he has placed my healthcare on hold. he has not return calls and leave my questions unanswered. although i was diagnosed with an illness he has placed me to date weeks without medication compromising my health. In my opinion you are a number, he is beyond placing your health care as a priority.

Great ,"bedside manners". Always listens and follows up on medical discussions in a timely manner. Quite knowledgeable with his reccomendations and advice. Dr. Walgampaya does not make you feel rushed and he always makes you feel comfortable. I highly recommend Dr. Walgampaya. Al V.

Being sick is never a good thing, knowing that Dr. Walgampaya as your PCP has been and always brings me comfort! Very professional, compassionate, understanding, and the most important thing is that he is a knowledgeable/experienced doctor Thank you Dr. Walgampaya

I went to Tampa General Medical Group off Kennedy Blvd in Tampa, FL and he saw me because my primary was out of town. I had sent all my ER paperwork from the past week where I had to go to the Emergency Room in Bradenton, FL and when I arrived I asked if he got the paperwork from hospital and he said "It wasn't uploaded and it wasn't important bc he was looking at last years bloodwork". I had 2 episodes of Extreme High blood pressure, disorientation and dizziness. I told him ER gave me Hydroxine but to follow up up with my primary which I did. He said "I don't see anything wrong with your labs, etc" so nothing I can do. He mentioned that maybe it is a "Panic attack". I left feeling hopeless and no answers, no referral to an outside source, nothing.

Dr. W is wonderful! So pleasant and knowledgeable; he takes time to listen and answer my questions! The staff is great too!

Very caring and compassionate. Great listener, on time. This the second visit and I am still impressed with Dr. W bedside manner. I have had many doctors over the years and he is by far the best. Recommend him wholeheartedly!

Excellent as always...practice well run...lots of reminders of appointments almost no waiting time and his PA is excellent and we cannot say enough about what good care we feel we get from Dr. W...he really listens, remembers things from past, and we feel he clearly cares about us.gold star!

Dr. W is a very good doctor. I've been going to him for years. I one point I had switch doctors and went right back to Dr. W. I'm so comfortable with the care he gives and how patient he is.

Dr. Walgampaya was very caring and considerate of my problem. I felt quite at ease with the office visit. He ordered multiple tests and exams in order to find a cause for my medical situation. I appreciate the time he took to assist me since my doctor is away.
