Helpful and Kind
My PCP said my carotid arteries were making a bruit - this is a sound that indicates that they are clogging up. I had no symptoms, but it runs in my family. I went to Dr. Plummer to follow up. After an ultrasound she spoke to me at length and asked questions about my health and my life in general. I felt listened to and was able to get answers to my questions. She is compassionate, smart and I would trust her if my arteries needed surgery. That is my impression. She determined that my arteries could be a problem in the future, but she felt that they are fine for now. I was relieved and very impressed with the care I got. There was wrangling with Aetna insurance afterwards, but that is not her fault. Insurance companies are a nightmare!

I had to wait a little longer than I would have liked, but I stick with the 5 star rating. Dr. Plummer was initially very short and matter of fact, but as she spent time with me, I realized how super competent she is. She assured me that I don't need to be concerned with the issue that brought me to her practice. She didn't rush me though and we had a nice conversation during the course of the exam. In summary her competence and self-assurance won the 5-star rating.

At first she was terrific . Office wait is horrendous , the woman who does insurance billing is a know it all who knows nothing . She never looked into challenging my insurance company so I could get the surgery . The insurance company told me they only needed a letter to say my pain increased . She told me I should have wrote that I was in more pain originally . Good luck Dr Plummer . This lady and her laziness will surely ruin your business. Dr Plummer never responded to my five phone call

Dr Plummer seems absolutely qualified and very skilled in her field and does take time to explain and answer questions. HOWEVER, for the second visit in a row to her offices (the previous to see one of her partners in the group) I was kept waiting for OVER AN HOUR in the examining room. I will not go back to this group of physicians again.
