Dr. Dagmar Horvath, MD

I had an extremely disappointing experience during my son’s first visit to this pediatrician. Despite her many years of experience, I found it unbelievable that she couldn’t handle a child like him. My son has a fear of doctor’s offices due to treatments he’s undergone, and I tried to explain this to her, but she kept interrupting me and telling me to control my son. Her yelling only made things worse and prevented me from calming him down. We don’t know if this behavior was due to him being autistic or our ethnicity. We had to walk out within the first five minutes. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone.

We have known Dr. Horvath for 28 years and during all of these years, she is, hands down, the most caring, compassionate, and knowledgeable doctor that we have encountered. Dr. Horvath is always there for her patients. My son is 30 and my daughter is 28, and they continue to visit her. An example of her excellent care is when Dr. Horvath expertly provided stitches ,after hours, to my son, who split his chin on three occasions in football at Bellarmine.

She gets things done- No drama. It's not about the money it's about the individual. She knows how to assess the situation and person giving them just what they need - not too much for those who don't want it and more for the ones who do. You walk through her door and you know your going to be OK. A feeling of calm comes over you knowing your in the best hands and the biggest heart.

Dr. Horvath has been our pediatrician and family doctor for almost 20 years and choosing her was the best decision we have ever made. She is the most carrying, knowledgeable, devoted and honest doctor we have ever came across. She is always there for her patients, day or night and never lets you down, no matter what. She will fight with you and for you and do everything beyond possible. Her care goes far beyond the care of other doctors. She is also an excellent diagnostician and is able to diagnose illnesses others cannot. She's truly a blessing!!!

We didn't choose Dr. Horvath--our son arrived unexpectedly (prematurely) so the hospital just assigned us to her because we hadn't identified a pediatrician ahead of time. But we are so glad they did! Ever since he was a tiny preemie, she has given us the best and most accurate advice. She is always concerned and responsive and never brushes off our questions. She is sympathetic and sensible, and my son doesn't want to leave her even though he's 17 now! I highly recommend her to any parent.

We were so fortunate to find Dr Horvath almost 20 years ago. We love her so much and she's such an amazing and caring doctor that my almost 20 year old still refuses to leave her. She has always known what was wrong with Anna from the moment she took a look at her!! There is not another doctor around that compares to Dr Horvath. Most competent doctor in my opinion.
