Dr. D Dyer Heintz, MD

Dr. Heintz is a GREAT doctor. My kid really likes Dr. Heintz. He feels like he really listens to him and isn't rushing us out the door like some doctors do. Feel really lucky we were referred to him. Check-in staff is very fast and we've never had a long wait.

Our experience with Dr. Heintz was wonderful. He was extremely knowledgeable in answering all of our questions, and making our young daughter feel comfortable. He even made her a giraffe balloon animal at the end of her appointment that she absolutely loved.

is the most unprofessional doctor I have ever encountered. I would never recommend him. He showed no concern for my situation and was awful in explaining the diagnosis and medication. For a while, I thought he had no education at all.

Dr Heintz has seen all three of my kids for various GI issues over the past 8 years. Undoubtedly he is one of the most compassionate and professional doctors and puts my kids at ease even with the topic being uncomfortable for my kids to discuss belly issues. He is so patient and helpful. We can’t Recco him enough!

Our appointment was at 9:40. We got there around 9:38. The lobby was full of patients. They gave us a long form to fill out, which took about 10 minutes. We were not informed that we had to get there early to fill those out. Later they told us that we didn’t check in until 9:40 and that we have to wait for 20 minutes. After waiting for an hour, they came back to tell us to wait for another hour. We left without seeing the doctor.

I have been very satisfied with every appointment we've had with Dr. Heintz. It feels like an appointment with a real person who cares about my kids, bringing some humanity into what can be a surprisingly impersonal field. I have already recommended Dr. Heintz to other friends with kiddos who have GI needs.

We love Dr. Heintz, he is one of the kindest doctors I have ever met. You can tell he really cares about his patients. When you have a child who sees a specialist it’s so important to have a doctor you trust and makes you and your child comfortable and that’s what we have with Dr. Heintz. He is compassionate, never makes us feel rushed or like we are asking a dumb question. I highly recommend him.

My toddler has struggled with GI issues for most of their life and we’ve struggled to find care for them that doesn’t dismiss our concerns or give vague explanations of what’s happening and what we can do. Dr. Heintz acknowledged our concerns, asked questions, gave concise explanations as to what he thinks is happening, and provided clear instructions on what to look out for next. Additionally, Dr. Heintz’s knew just what to say to my toddler to make all of us feel more comfortable. Highly recommend!

Dr Heintz was superb in addressing my teenagers GI issues. Thorough explanation of diagnosis steps and treatment options. Highly recommended.

We have had two visits with Dr. Heintz now and have been very impressed with him, the facility, and the staff. We were seen very close to our appointment time and felt we had adequate time with the Dr. Heintz. He also makes balloon animals for kids which is a big hit!!

Dr. Heintz listened carefully to all the aspects of our son’s low weight history and present situation. He asked a number of relevant questions and didn’t just accept brief answers, but wanted to know more. He spoke directly to our son as well to understand how he was feeling. He then gave a comprehensive, but manageable set of recommendations that we should try. He managed our expectations on some of the steps, but also set us at ease that everything was safe. He carefully considered which further tests were warranted and which ones weren’t so we didn’t need to go through any unnecessary steps. As we left, we all felt much more educated about our son’s situation and also that we now had a knowledgeable and caring new doctor on his team going forward. Thank you, Dr. Heintz.

He was very attentive and provided excellent care for my grandson while in the hospital and after. Great bedside manner and great rapport with my grandson. Explained treatment with us thoroughly!
