Both of my boys have been seeing Dr, Young for the last 13 years. Before our first son was born we visited several GP's and Dr. Young was recommended to us. Our visit with her was very telling in how she treats every visit, she takes the time to listen to you & make sure you get what you need. I've been so impressed that I switched my GP doctor to Dr. Young six years ago.

Be careful what you said during wellness visit
You tell and she listen but nothing will be solved. She might even bill you for what you mentioned to her about your health. Don’t feel like she cares about your health at all. She didn’t even check your neck or legs on your wellness visit but will bill you if you discuss your existing health issues such as stomach, knee and etc. I am very disappointed.

Uncaring
Western Wake Wellness kicked my family out of their practice because I didn’t put my child on the drug they recommended and I sought a different specialist than the second one they recommended. I DID take her to their first recommended specialist and got zero answers for her health issue. So, when I decided to go to a different specialist of my choice and use a different health protocol that is currently working, they kicked my two children out. I’m a mother of five children, two of which we’ve adopted who have Down syndrome. Also, they accused me to not taking my 8 year old to a well visit when I specifically called to make the visit and they said he couldn’t come in yet because it hadn’t yet been a year in between visits. But they filled out the school paperwork without a visit. I do not recommend this practice. They don’t respect parental choice.

Failed to diagnose a life threatening condition
Even though my medical records showed 18 years of high calcium levels and all the classic complications of hyperparathyroidism, including chronic kidney stones and osteopenia, Dr. Young never diagnosed me. If she had, I could have had the tumor removed before all these complications occurred. Thankfully, I recently got a second opinion from an NP who diagnosed me correctly, and I just came out of a successful 15 minute surgery that saved my life. Left untreated for much longer, this condition becomes fatal. My health and quality of life declined each year I was under Dr. Young's care without a proper diagnosis.

Will never trust Dr Young’s office again!
Shameful and dishonest! I’d give it a zero - move on to a practice that really cares about parental choice!!

Dr. Young refused to listen to patient. When patient disagreed with a statement by the provider which contradicts statements by the CDC director, NHS Secretary, Pharma CSOs, FDA approval submissions, and scientific literature published on major medical journals, Dr. Young did not allow any time for clarification or discussion of facts, much less patient needs. Instead, Dr. Young stormed out of the office refusing to conduct the examination or run labs for the long time patient who had taken off work and fasted for this appointment. The doctor immediately discharged patient and denied her access to her medical records, all because of a difference of opinion.

Great family practice! My family has been coming to this practice for years, and even though we moved, we still travel about 30 minutes to keep coming. Dr. Young, Ivy Todd (the PA), and Jessica Pulling (the Pediatric NP) are ALL fabulous providers - very compassionate, sensitive to our needs, and very responsive to our questions and concerns. I once called the on-call provider (Dr. Young) late in the evening when my youngest spiked a high fever, and she was very informative, calming, and caring - and even called back the next morning to check on her. The office staff are all very friendly and helpful, I never have a long wait, and I feel that we get the best medical care. I highly recommend this practice to families and patients of all ages.

Dr. Young has been treating our family for over five years. She is compassionate and a wonderful physician. She listens well to her patients, and we are thrilled to have her as our doctor. Sometimes she gets really busy, but all accomplished physicians face this problem. And she always spends as much time as we need with us.

Dr. Young is a fantastic doctor! I have had no issues with appointment availability, and have absolute faith in her abilities. As someone with a few chronic health issues, it means a lot. From the time she comes into the room it is almost like I'm her only patient. She always asks if there is anything else I need before we wrap it up...a rare find in a doctor these days!

Don’t ever pick this medical practice. Dr. Cynthia Young is just a front of the facility. I used this office since ’15 and not once I have ever seen her. The highest quality care you can expect is Physician Assistant if it is good enough for you. Dr. Laney started recently, and if you are not comfortable with a male doctor, you have to revert to a PA. There are many reasons not to choose this place. Let me tell you my reasons, and you can make the decision if a PA care is okay with you. #1 for

Almost impossible to get a call back! When calling in - 99.9% of time it's answer machine that 'answers' advising they will pick up asap - the wait time for a REAL person is 10+ minutes - then are told 'someone else will need to call you back'. Totally frustrated with incompetent staff in front office!
