No awareness of how pre-judgement affects lives
I felt pre-judged & stereotyped, initially based on a negative, biased medical referral, leading to being treated by her and her staff as a patient who was undeserving of her time, understanding, compassion, & medical concern. Sadly, if someone suffers from REAL physical, neurological chronic pain for years, many physicians in the medical establishment in this country don't listen or are not aware enough to be compassionate to these suffering patients, quick to say "it's all in your head," ultimately handing out the psychological diagnoses of fashion at the time, which they may not know enough about. This lackadaisical attitude can have a very negative effect on patient care going forward, bc it essentially adds more fuel to the fire for people who suffer daily, keep trying to reach out for help & consequently sets a "rap sheet" for future providers to pre-judge themselves, adding even more damaging hopelessness. I've lived this for years & left her practice more beat down than ever.

Excellent Provider
I have been with Dr. Ward for 3 years now and she is wonderful. She listens, explains things well, answers questions, the appointments never feel rushed and she answers after visit questions pretty quickly as well too. She is not shy to order the tests needed to get to the bottom of things and rule others out which I appreciate. She is very friendly and personable and this makes things so much easier and more comforting.

Dr. Ward was my salvation. It's been a long journey. It started off with migraines. And then for other reasons I developed Trigeminal Neuralgia which she is also an expert on. She suffers from migraines as well so she totally understands the suffering and how difficult they are to control. She works with her patients and makes it a partnership. Always takes time to fully explain everything. Extremely friendly. She is simply amazing and very smart. I recommend everyone to her as she is the best.

In a world of physicians, Cynthia is a doctor. Compassionate & caring. Perhaps too much for her own good. My wife was a patient of hers for nearly 10 years. Almost immediately after meeting her, we didn't see her as my wife's neurologist but as a friend whose expertise was neurology. My wife spent her last week of life as a patient (but not Cynthia's) at the hospital she practiced. Cynthia & her nurse heard about my wife being in the final hours of life and came to say good-bye and cry

I was referred to Dr. Ward after I had an MRI that revealed a questionable issue. Her patience, thoroughness and knowledge left me feeling in awe of her expertise but also quite comfortable knowing I was in her care. She eased my mind a great deal.
