Highly Recommend!
Dr. Carter was attentive, kind, and fast to find a solution that worked for me. The staff were all wonderful to work with as well, from check-in to check-out. Both times I have had an appointment, I have not waited more than five minutes to be called back. I’m a patient for life…and would highly recommend to any and everyone!

Excellent Surgeon and staff
Dr. Carter and Ashley fixed my rotator cuff tears and my thumb cmc joint. They are excellent, caring, easy to talk to and explains things well. After surgery care was fabulous as well. Highly recommend Dr Carter , Ashley and Tristate Orthopedics.

Very friendly, helpful, and informative.
He was very friendly and pleasant, took time to listen and evaluate my symptoms, and go over my options. I haven't had surgery yet, but he is sending me to therapy to help in the meantime, and so far, my impression of him is excellent.

Excellent Physician!!!
I've been to many other orthopedic doctors in the past and Dr Carter has impressed me as being the most empathetic and caring of all. (And this includes trips to major cities and clinics). Follow up has been great, communication from staff and the therapy department also wonderful! If you are looking for a great orthopedic doctor, Dr Carter meets all of the criteria!

Caring physician, great bedside manner
Dr Carter and his staff were fantastic! We were greeted with warm and welcoming smiles as soon as we entered the office. Debbie, who took my son’s X-ray, was very polite and made my son smile by giving him stickers! Dr Carter was very energetic and personable at my son’s finger injury appointment. He explained in great detail the extent of his injury and how to care for the injury! We appreciate all the time spent with Dr Carter! His bedside manner is fantastic— he spent time explaining my son’s injury and talking about school and sports to help make him more comfortable (my son can be very shy). Thank you for a positive experience at your office. Keep up the great work!

Extraordinary Doctor
I am so grateful for everything Dr. Carter did for my son. He made us feel reassured, informed, and comfortable throughout the entire process before, during, and after surgery. A rare gem of a human being. You can tell he actually cares and wants each patient to feel seen, heard, and well taken care of. Office staff were always caring and considerate. Ashley the NP was always great as well. 10O% recommend!

Excellent compassionate and caring
He and Ashley NP took me serious and got to the root of my problem. Turns out I have a rare condition that required a referral to a specialist at Vanderbilt. I would highly recommend him. He has the compassionate and caring nature that puts a patient at ease as well.

Not your typical doctor
First thing I noticed is that he listens! He has a good sense of humor and a light personality. Not your typical stiff-pants, full of themselves doctor. He was gentle with my injury and used layman terms to explain what was going on with my injury. I would highly recommend him, especially for those with “white-coat syndrome”
