Dr Berger preformed a Light Adjustable Len surgery on my Cataract. He was very precise in testing to find the right lens. The surgery and the adjustments went very well and now I'm seeing 20-20 in my right eye. The staff, especially Lisa, was great in arranging everything.

Nice office staff terrible doctor
I think he would prefer if eyes were not attached to actual humans. He doesn’t listen to a word you say and aloof is an understatement. Very arrogant. This is why I tend to stick with doctors who are not American trained. This guy don’t understand the value of listening to their patience. The women who work in his office are very nice and probably the only bright spot. The doctor unfortunately was demeaning and dismissive to them right in front of me. There are plenty of other doctors in this field that are part of much bigger more sophisticated facilities. Don’t settle for this guy!

The best in Tampa
My previous ophthalmologist does not provide the light adjustable lens. To insure I found the best cataract surgeon I visited three ophthalmologist and had an evaluation including dilation. Not only did I want to evaluate the doctor but I wanted to see the quality of the staff. Dr. Bergen’s staff is outstanding. As a team they are unbeatable. It was an easy decision to select Dr. Berger and his team. I had the light adjustable lens implanted and could not be happier. I’m now 20/20. Thank you Dr. Berger and staff.

I can see "The Stars, computer and read!
DR. BERGER INSTRUCTS AS HE TREATS. It is all about communication with Dr. Berger, especially since he makes himself available via email. I was able to convey to Dr. Berger my want for reading, computer and driving--WITHOUT GLASSES. I was only hopeful that he could accomplish this given I had very severe cataracts, very near sighted and seeing double due to astigmatism. My world was so limited. But, now I know more about eyes than I ever thought possible. Dr. Berger made me more understanding of my situation and options. I feel so fortunate to have found Dr. Berger on my internet searches for the "THE BEST DOCTOR". He made all my wishes come true. The last day of my "Light Adjustable Lens" treatment he said to me, "Enjoy your new vision!". To inform all, Dr. Berger introduced me to the NEW "Light Adjustable Lens" treatment which offers a "CUSTOM FIT" lens according to patient requirements! My vision is so clear, bluer than blue! Dr. Berger and his staff are amazing.

Dr Craig Berger NE Tampa FL
Dr. Berger performed cataract surgery on both eyes early April 2023. I was interested in premium IOLs and after consultation at Bay Area Eye Institute, I selected light adjustable lenses. Dr. Berger and his staff have been outstanding with my scheduling and with arranging the retina specialists in preparation and follow-up. I am very pleased with the results. Night driving is no longer a problem. I am really surprised that my 72-year-old eyes can now see so clearly. Thank you Dr. Berger and crew.

GREAT DOCTOR - EXCEPTIONAL EXPERIENCE
Upon recommendation of a local eye doctor I visited Dr Berger to fix a problem that I had with a previous eye surgery. He was very informative and professional. He answered all of my concerns and gave me a few options to correct my problem. Without any pressure he helped me make the best choice for my surgery. My experience was 100% satisfactory. I drive over 1 1/2 hours and it is worth every extra mile. I must say also - the staff is the best anywhere!! They are always so helpful and accommodating. I am thankful I found Bay Are Eye Institute.

Dr. Berger puts the CARE in Eye Healthcare – Jan 07, 2023

Excellent Care
As a patient of Dr. Craig Berger, I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an Ophthalmologist. He is absolutely the best in eye care. This summer, he removed a cataract in my left eye and a few weeks later, he removed a cataract in my right eye. My eyesight has drastically improved in both eyes and I am delighted with the outcome. The care which he provides is outstanding. In this day where “mega” practices seem to rule, it is nice to have an eye doctor who knows your name and not your insurance number.

Dr. Berger did two cataract surgeries and two DMEK corneal surgeries for me last year. I was suffering with extremely poor eyesight because of Fuchs Dystrophy. After these surgeries I have near 20/20 vision. I' m also impressed with the kind and professional care that I received from his staff and office crew. I highly recommend Dr. Craig Berger as a corneal specialist and surgeon.

Dr Craig Berger is a trustworthy doctor and skilled surgeon. I been under his care for years and he was recommended to me by my daughter Dr. Iriana Belongie. Recently I had cataract surgery and the results are excellent, I do not need to use any eye glasses and my vision is 20/25 He is calm, soft spoken and very well prepared Ophthalmologist, that works in a conservative way giving people good care. I am very satisfy with the results of my surgery. I highly recommended him as Eye Dr. Also the office and the staff are nice and cooperative. They all gave good instructions to be follow and helped me to get this good results after my cataract surgery. Thanks to you all you, thanks Dr. Berger

I am a physician (M.D.) and my both my father, and father-in-law were ophthalmologists. As such, I think that I have a good basis to judge Dr. Berger. The bottom line is that he knows what he is doing and he is an excellent surgeon. I am thrilled with the results of my cataract surgery (20/15 in both eyes). This is a huge improvement from where I started. I highly recommend Dr. Berger!

I am a post RK (Radial Keratotomy) patient. I have cataracts and my local doctor was not able to perform cataract surgery that would help improve my vision what so ever. I did research and found Dr. Berger. He performed my cataract surgery on my left eye and used a toric lense. I am extremely happy with the results! So far I have 20/20 vision and decreased Astigmatism! I highly recommend him for complicated cases such as mine. He literally was an answer to my prayer! Thank you Dr. Berger!

Dr. Berger and his staff are extremely knowledgeable in the care of Keratoconus and other advanced eye disorders. He is the only board certified Eye surgeon in the Tampa area that offers non invasive Cross Linking procedure to treat Keratoconus which I have. With the help of him and his staff, my eyesight definitely has improved. I highly recommend Bay Area Eye Institute.
